Hi – I’m a stay-at-home-sometimes, but-often-take-kids-caching mom too. We went to our first picnic last year with 20-something finds to our name, and met lots of great people! So we hope you can attend too. If not, then maybe we will catch you on the trails sometime! Happy caching.

Strangers in public are no longer strangers – they’re “muggles”.

At least she doesn’t edit what she says in person! I like hearing what the Major has to say…

You can be assured that Nurse Dave’s Geocoin collecting group (of which I am a member) will purchase about 100 coins right off the bat. I definately think they should be GC.com trackable – so much more fun that way!

in reply to: Logging DNF’s #1749883

I concur with bnb and MajorBrat. As a cache owner, I like to see any DNFs to ID a potential problem. As a cache finder, if I get to the ground zero area, search and don’t find, it’s a DNF and I log it – hopefully with a little humor added. And anyone who has cached with me knows I don’t give up easily!

    Carpe’ Cache’

On the shores of the Rock River. You are supposed to do it with a boat as trying to reach it on land will take you across private property I believe. I may do it when the river freezes over.

Oh are you the one who took off with my rubber chicken TB????

Just kidding! You were at Pike Powder Hike long before I dropped my bug there…

As for the white jeeps, I agree with greyhounder. One will be enough for me…. though I’ll be driving over an hour one way just to get it!

in reply to: Placing travel bugs #1740619

To place a bug in a cache, you must post a found it log or note from the cache page (not the bug page). On the “Post a New Log” page, there will be a list of the bugs in your inventory. Click on the one you want to put in the cache, then hit “Submit log entry” to put it in. If you have already done a found it log for that cache, just post a note saying you are dropping a bug.

    Did that answer your question?

Sorry, I don’t have anything to add to the actual discussion about caches. Just liked the spideys!

in reply to: evil thought: winter #1749704

The one thing I would up buying during my first winter caching was some snowpants for myself. I always seemed to get all wet looking for stuff in the snow. Snowpants = dry and warm. Of course it all depends on the amount of snowfall…
