So where would we fall on this list? We were at 180 on our first anniversary…. A hobbiction maybe?
Congrats to Timberline Echoes – it was great meeting you on the trails at the campout. Love your walking stick! (That was you, right?)

Also don’t put anything liquid in a cache that will freeze, then leak when it warms up again.

Let’s celebrate with camping and pancakes!

Two websites I have found to be essential for doing locationless caches:
Locationless Cache Checklist
This is a list with summaries and links to every locationless. They are all there on one page.Coordinate Distance Calculator
Here you can input the coords of the place you are interested in claiming and the GCXXXX number of the locationless cache you are looking at. It will compare all the coords listed for that cache already and tell you if the site you are interested in has been claimed yet or not.

Geolex
and of course, the GC.com glossary.

I do a variation on this: T4TC!
I seem to remember acronyms being listed somewhere on some webpage, but I can’t find it right now. So let’s see…
FTF = first to find
DNF = did not find
CITO = cache in trash out
TB = travel bug (of course)I’m sure there are others I’m forgetting…

* * * * * * * * * *But that does bring up an interesting question. Which Wisconsin cache has the most finds (excluding events and locationless)? Does anyone know?
I’ll guess that it will be an old virtual – maybe one of Lil Otter’s.

I noticed, however, that they do link to WGA on their webpages. Wonder if they ever peruse the forums?

* * * * * * * * * *I agree with everything EnergySaver said as I have also been on the receiving end of some of these problems. However, one thing I make sure to do now – I write down the 6 digit number of every TB I move, so when stuff like this happens, I can refer to it and remedy the problem.
The catch-and-release thing…it runs up your TB stats and that’s important to some people, others don’t care. Whatever. I just think it’s kinda rude to *grab* a TB you saw at an event from the hands of the person who actually took it. If it’s no longer listed on the event page, then the catch and release should stop. My .02.
