I have 2 members-only caches and this is precisely why. The first is in a cemetery, the second in a library – both are places where I need to know that the people finding them will be respectful and cautious. Sure, they will have less finds, but I don’t really care. I have some peace of mind this way.

Love to, but I have to watch my cholesterol.
My son’s 9 1/2. If you were willing to meet us halfway – somewhere around Waukesha or Walworth County – that would be fun!

Bec, you better be done with that school project or I’m gonna tell your mom yer wasting time on the forums again!
For me: signed log = find. The only exception I’ve had was when the container was frozen so solidly in ice, I couldn’t free it for the life of me. I took a picture of it with my sig item next to it and sent it to the cachemeister. He OKed the smilie.
Finding just the first part of a multi doesn’t equal a find in my book. When people do that, I roll my eyes and try to forget it. I also do that when people log smilies instead of notes on their own caches.
As for the Gladiator, I’ll put this offer out to anyone who’s found it and is willing to go back. I will supply a stocked ammo can to replace the missing container if someone can put it where it belongs…so we can go find it! I’m not going out there until it freezes again tho.

Looks like that’s an understatement – it’s 5 stars! I have put it on my to-do bookmark list.

BTW, you promised to come caching in our neck of the woods soon. I’m going to hold you to that !

* * * * * * * * * *Congratulations! Glad we could join up with you once in a while for caching fun. It’s always amusing to see greyhounder’s mom give greyhounder a little grief once in a while .

* * * * * * * * * *I love mine, but have found it to be a bit quirky in a few areas. Yes, I’ve found you pretty much have to hold it horizontally for the electronic compass to work properly. On my first unit, it seemed to lose calibration often for no reason so I would have to switch back to the GPS compass mid-stream.
Then the power button stopped working. (First it wouldn’t turn the unit off. Then I couldn’t turn it on!) I must say that the support people at Garmin were top-notch and, after checking my old unit out, sent me a new one with my waypoints already downloaded.
Once in a while, the auto-routing makes odd choices, but 99% of the time, I love it.

When I saw one of these cards in Burke’s Aladdin last winter, I just about fell over laughing. Kept it of course. So who’s been putting those cards out anyway?

* * * * * * * * * *We made the acquaintence of one special member of team ridge runners on Saturday – the littlest one named Briar. There is a cute picture of him with LightningBugs Girl I posted on the event cache page. He wanted to show us where to find everything and popped up in quite a few pictures we took there. So sorry he became upset when we had to leave. Hope we run into you guys again sometime.
