Having been lucky enough to be there w/ WISearchers and the cachemeisters as this one was uncovered, then uhmmmmm…born?…reborn?…uhmmmmm, yeah…let me be the first to assure you that it was in fact impressive! And quite memorable! Oh the mind-pictures this one will hold for us. Quite the celebration was had by all! And the team work, did I mention the team work? Someone found it…someone tried to “pull it out”…someone else went in for the final extraction and with great determination and much laughter recovered the container from hiding…we all signed the log and someone else went in the other way to put it back. (Now, draw your own pictures from this description…chances are they are quite accurate! LOL!)

    ps…again I say, “WOOD!”

What do you get when you cross 3 caching teams, snow, nightfall, several flashlights, a bit of bushwhacking and an ammo container? Well…you get a 1000th find! And then of course there’s the recovery of the container itself. One word: WOOD!!!
Thanks so much for including us in on your walk today, or was that a run, or a slide, fall, etc? We had a great time with you guys…as always! Can’t wait to do it again! Where’s that? DC?
You guys are awesome cachers and do great things in the caching community, it’s a pleasure being in your company.
Congrats on hitting the big one!

Say it if it makes you feel better. I can’t count the number of times my Magellan has been the only one in the group with signal, while all the little Garmin users had me lead them to a cache area. Once there they just kind of poked around and went in circles until someone found the cache. So…while Bec may be having trouble w/ her unit, some of us love ours and appreciate its accuracy. I guess it’s just a matter of the situation. But you just go rigt on thinking that Magellan’s are bad. We Magellan owners have broad shoulders and can take what you say with a grain of…well with a hootie!

Hey now…get it right! I’m not from VENICE! I have Venetian Blinds in my room. But you’re right…I did win. It wasn’t all bad though, was it Jeff?

PLEASE NOTE: In the spirit of Team Badger we have decided to only drop a couple of temps for this event! Team Badger is not about the numbers, it’s about the TEAM! While we will have a laptop available for loading area caches, we suggest that you lock and load from home (or at the very least bring your GPSR cable w/ you. We’ll have e-tex, magellan, and Garmin 76). See you there…Major Brat

Thanks John! I was hoping to get an email off to you before you posted a note but…
I’ll call you about it later.

I’ll try to get the co-ords onto a laptop for the event, but don’t hold your breath on that. It’s been a crazy week and doesn’t seem to be slowing until about 11:30 pm Saturday. It’s best to bring your own GPSR cable…just in case.

Now: Hey guys…you did get off track!
this is about the Team Badger Brunch Event.

Gee…why didn’t anyone else think of that? LOL!
