It’s not really a caching vest…more like a fishing vest I think, but I recently found a really cool one at Sherpers in Greenfield. It must have had 15 different pockets on it. I found it near the ammo boxes. Good luck on your hunt.

Can’t seem to get on my own name so I’m using Robin’s. I wanted to say congrats to you on 1100 and that it’s been fun spending time with the two of you and getting to know you. I agree with the fact that you are crazy! Why else would you spend so much time locked in a bus with the group you travel with? I’ve learned a lot from you and see why Linus likes to walk with you. Thanks for what you do! Do I see 1200 for the upcoming weekend? Who’s driving the bus? LOL!

I want to thank everyone for the notes. For some reason I seem to be locked out of my own site so I am using my wife’s name to post this note. I used to think she was crazy for wanting to go out caching all the time, but lately I feel like I want to do the same thing. I have met some of the people she caches with and have enjoyed forming new friendships with them as well. Some I’ve known for quite a while now and am glad that those friendships continue today. I plan to keep it up and some day I’ll catch Linus (yeah, right!). Thanks again for all the kind words!

Oops…sorry no one noticed. I don’t know why no one noticed…I personally haven’t looked at the stats pages in a few weeks, and if you haven’t cached with me I don’t really know where your numbers stand. Congrats on hitting your milestone. I like that you set goals for yourself…just be careful that you don’t end up like the rest of us…we all set goals and then raced toward them, updated and upgraded them and went on from there…a little crazier each time. LOL! Keep it up and if you ever want to hit a faxt 99 let me know. I ccan tell you how to do it in a day! Happy Caching!
~LinusCongrats on 700! Did the bro’s walk play hooky together? Hmmm…keep it up, there are so many more caches to log…
Happy Caching ~LinusIt’s only the arm…has no real affect on the “FTF dance” so get out there and get some more…lol! Seriously…sorry to hear about your arm, but congrats on the milestone! Be safe on the roads, eh?! Happy caching! ~Linus and TravellingFlyboy
Wow…I’m not sure what happened to make this a necessity, but I commend you on replying to the thread of concern. I have done my share of using your name in loud manners while hunting a number of your caches, however, I always assume my own risk. I have been on several parts of my body other than my feet at times, but have always felt a sense of pride when reaching the final! I am proud to be a part of the Team that is known for the hunt and the hide. You my friend are a huge reason cachers watch what we do. Keep hiding them Jeff!
~LinusActually…the Commander WAS late! As we knew we would be a few minutes behind schedule I called him to let him know that. At this point we found that he and Boss Pat were still at home having a conversation about whether or not to meet up with us. I told him to call me back when they finished the conversation…which he did. They were heading out and would call as they approached the area. So…sorry commander but technically since you chose the time and place and weren’t there because you were still home deciding whether or not to actually go…you were late!
In the end it doesn’t matter anyhow! We got to do BoB’s …and then some! We got to see Tishman the amazing galloping BoB finder! We got to tell TravellingFlyboy where to go all day! We got to walk, and talk, and laugh about a lot of funny things! We got to share a good meal and Lucy even got to give her “We’re Geocachers, come join us!” speech. (I love to watch her pitching our sport!) A fun time was had by all!
I didn’t worry about setting the clocks because I knew the kids would do theirs and my phone, tv and vcr would all go automatically. I woke up at 5:38 flipping out about the d@#&*d alarm clock on my phone not going off. We were supposed to pick Lucy and Tishman up between 6:15 and 6:30…as we live half an hour north of them I knew this would be a problem. I ran into the bathroom while TravellingFlyboy lay there laughing at me. (I have to say I was none too pleased about that either! ) I turned on the shower, looked out the window and started to laugh as I realized that my body had turned on it’s internal clock, and that the time was actually 4:38. …water off…back in bed…yeah right, 20 min. more sleep?…BLAH! Yes dear, I know it’s only 4:45… …thanks!
We were ready to leave at 5:45, but somehow we managed to piddle around and not make it until just before 6:30…sorry Lucy, sorry Tish! Breakfast? Nah! We hit the oasis on the way to Chicago…the Commander and Boss Pat were late anyhow!
Congrats on hitting the big one! We missed you one Saturday but at least you were out there walking some. Very cool!
~LinusCongrats on 500…you’re half way to 1000…keep going strong! ~Linus
Congrats Nae! Keep finding those hidden treasures! TravellingFlyboy, Linus, BoyBug and GirlBug
At least if there’s a problem with our site I know that I can pull up the groundspeak cal. and find out what’s going on. I’d rather find it here though…
Thanks for the kind words! I have cached in 11 states to date, and can honestly say that I agree with your thoughts. I think the fact that we are in a place where there is an amazing amount of support helps. If a cacher has a problem there is always someone willing to help out. If a cache is in need of attention, there is always someone willing to take care of it if the owner isn’t able to get to it right away. We don’t hesitate to temporarily archive for the purpose of maint. We take care of the problem and get them back up. While I do enjoy caching elsewhere, THIS is my favorite state to play with the GPSR in!
Congrats Mike and Sue! Hey, you guys AREN’T from WI?…hmmmm….sounds a little familiar. In any case, keep up the hard work and remember…the numbers are fun, but the caching is the prize! See you soon.
