Way to go Bec! Congrats on hitting another one! See you on the trails!
~LinusHey, congrats on your milestone!
~LinusHmmm…”in” Arizona, “at Arizona…what’s it matter?! The point is the guy hit another milestone…LOL! (j/k…it was “at”) We were walking the country via the SOM series…
Hmmm…this is news worth watching! I’ll be checking in from time to time to see how this progresses! Hey Team Badger, anyone feel like a springtime road trip?
Wow! That’s awesome…50 in a day! I heard the same thing about another group today. Nothing like a power day to get you to that next milestone! Keep it up…see you on the trails (if I can catch you…lol).
~Linus(I previously posted this on the Could you donate 3 hours thread~didn’t want anyone to miss it, so I’m putting it here too)
This was a wonderful day! It was colder than any of us would have liked it to be, but when we considered the reason we were there it didn’t really matter. The park workers were very cool people. Though seemingly quite young, they were very knowledgeable about, and inspired by the work they do. They were also quite appreciative to have us there. I think I heard words of thanks at least 50 times in the 3 hours we were there. We collected a lot of the requested seeds, walked a bit more of the area than I expected to be able to walk and even got to grab a few caches before we left there. And yes, MsWiSearcher did get them out with the GPSR and both seemed to enjoy that. Will they do it again? One never knows!
The general consensus of the group involved is that we really need to get out there and do more of these types of things! We wander in and out of these areas on a daily basis, taking from and changing them forever. Why not expend a bit more of that energy giving back a little? I know that I’ll be watching and waiting for another chance to help out!
Thanks WiSeachers for setting this one up!Congrats on hitting another one! Keep it up!
~LinusWay to go…I know you’l keep flying through these caches! Just keep having fun doing it! That’s important!!!

…but for someone like me who doesn’t read the forums very often, having it as an event cache would have brought it to my attention early enough to have gone along. but then again, it wouldn’t have been a small group anymore…
perhaps there could be some other method of alerting wga members to small group outings like this.
Sorry you missed another outing. If you’re not one to watch the forums you amy want to reconsider at least one page. Someone from the team always posts a note on the “Looking for someone to cache with” page. So check that one out periodically. Yes, the small groups are nice, but we never limit the number of people attending. I highly recommend a walk with Team Badger for anyone who wants to find new ways of approaching all types of caching situations. The support of the group is amazing. And the conversation.. well you just have to be there to appreciate that!
Maybe both…when Lucy and I went to South Carolina this summer we stopped at a hotel in Kentucky. Upon check-in I began talking to the desk clerks about GeoCaching. When we checked out in the morning we found that one of them had left us an envelope with several cache pages in it. She knew we didn’t have any from that area, and wanted us to get some, so… So not only did we find a nice hotel…we got caches too!
