We vacationed in Sanibel a couple of years ago, shortly after we started caching. We saw alot of the local habitat doing two earthcaches there, GCNPMD and GCZTK0. We were startled by a sign warning of “Alligator Habitat” on the trail while doing GC1HX5Y and GC1JMVJ. There is a virtual GC919C, a traditional GC316F, and a benchmark AG1232 at the lighthouse at the east end of Sanibel. There is another virtual at a neat little cemetary GCD6EE, and a great place to watch the sunset at the west end of Captiva, a very short walk from a parking lot micro GC18HFB.
Across the bridge in Fort Myers Beach there is a webcam GCJJ9Q.
If you’re taking Alligator Alley to the east coast, there is an earthcache at a rest stop GC10XMW. I learned a lot about the formation of south Florida there.
And of course, the puzzle series that I reccommend to everyone going to Florida GCYXN0, in Fort Lauderdale.
I haven’t cached in that area in quite a while, but these are the ones I remember fondly.
Congrats on your 14k milestone, Ralph.

BTW, it keeps telling me my windows doesn’t work. I have installed the needed updates. It still tells me that. ARgh!
What version of Windows are you using?
Congrats on the milestone. 😀
Congrats to you guys on #2500. Way to go!
The author is also the geocaching editor at http://www.roadtripsforfamilies.com. She has some funny caching stories from a Florida trip.
I’m not sure I like being referred to as a “snowbird” though. 🙁08rocklady and I attended GC21GXZ, First Light 2010 while on vacation. This was a pre-dawn gathering to witness the first sunrise of 2010 on Satellite Beach, FL. The heavy rain stopped briefly at dawn but you had to sort of imagine the sunrise because of the clouds. Still, it was fun and we met a bunch of local cachers.
I can’t think of any configuration settings that would cause that, so the next thing I would try would be to uninstall and re-install the Builder.
Have you tried to open the backup file (*.bkup)?
Way to go on the milestone!
Congrats on your #1400 milestone.
Congrats on reaching the 1K milestone.
Congrats on hitting the 2k milestone!
