There was a drive by shooting in Appleton this morning near my house. The house behind one of my coworker’s was the “target”.

    It’s real safe here.

And my hometown of little ole’ Berlin just nabbed 30+ drug dealers and it made the USA Today. So much for safety.

then there’s the field of pot out in the navarino nature center……

Appleton is another story! Where do they rank on the list?

Appleton didn’t make the list. I think that means you’re safe.

    Safe? in Appleton? Wow!

    Easy now boys.

Helidood: I think his problem is more to do with only the first 2 postings being in regards to crime rates. After that, you veered significantly.

Greenthumb: He’s new. Let him acclimate a bit before you write him off. Besides, he’s still entitled to have opinions.

The only time the bomb squad does not destroy reported devices is if they are 100% certain. Even a listing saying that a geocache is supposed to be in the general vicinity isn’t enough for that.

not sure, but I think I’m starting to see a pattern in the votes…..

I think I’d be interested in hearing the reasons for anyone voting “no”. Just curious as to the other opinion.

This one would require Dick boarding an airplane (not to mention tons of money!) and it ain’t gonna happen!

Ha, remember A-Team? B.A. Baracus wouldn’t fly so they knocked him out and tossed him on the plane.

If a sack race had been held at the event and raffle tickets were given to everyone who participated, but you went off to hunt caches while the race was on, you wouldn’t expect to get a ticket and I bet no one would be complaining about it.

I wouldn’t be so sure of that. 🙄

Good point, but gr is correct. This issue doesn’t really have anything to to with the actual temp caches, but with a drawing.

in reply to: Temporary caches #1888479

This is getting tiring. No one stopped you from looking for temps. No one withheld information regarding the drawing. You made the choice.

in reply to: Why I voted "NO" to logging temps #1887211

Q1: Did you know about the temp caches prior to the event?
Q2: Did you know that they factored into the drawing before you went looking for the permanent caches?

in reply to: Why I voted "NO" to logging temps #1887191

Being penalize implies something was taken from you. If extra tickets were given to those that sought temps, that would be a reward for those finding temps.

Besides, who ever said life was fair? Where is that written?

is this just setting up and manning a booth or are we talking about some kind of presentation?
