Well, I’ll miss the LCG event and the spring campout; but I’ll make the bonfire, WBCB and fall picnic. As far as CITO’s go, we’ll have to see where and when.
Events I don’t make, I can still help out behind the scenes.Spoke too soon. Looks like I’ll miss 2 of the events because of current roles. The LCG event because I’ll be prepping for a convention coming up in April and the spring campout because of Puppets. Not much I can do about the LCG event, but the campout, I can help get anything ready beforehand.
I always thought education and awareness for public and internal. Letting people know what we are doing makes for a less creepy aspect for them. Working on our own manners stops us from causing PR and other problems that would lead to the disruption of our game. Judging from the previous responses, I think that’s where we’ll focus no matter which of us you choose. Good question and I’m rather glad the candidates agree on this aspect.
Not a news article, but I did get my 15 seconds on TV. I think it was a Washington County Home and Garden expo.
I live in Pulaski, which is fairly close to Green Bay. As I noted in my intro, my caching is fairly sporadic. Most of my finds come in the Shawano, Brown and Outagamie counties, but I’ve touched on some odd areas. I would have to say that my most memorable caching would be: 1. The day I finished up the SCC challenge, 2. Rusk County challenge, 3. Lookout Above II | Last One Standing.
To be honest the best memories are from challenging caches or series that were shared with others.Looks like I’ve been to 2 CITO’s. I think that number should be increased. Don’t exactly have a plan as to how many I’ll do this year, but I’m always up for a good day of cleanup.
The BOD wouldn’t affect my current roles, as my weekends are fairly clear. As far as future possibilities, I would schedule around BOD responsibilities if I were elected.
If I’m not mistaken, a lot of the BOD discussion is handled online. This isn’t normally a problem, except for this week when my electronics decided that they wanted a break.WGA = Wisconsin’s Geocachers Anonymous
GC.com – 1, WGA – 1
work related systems are sssssllllllloooooowwwwww today.
Looks like the nominations have begun.
Out for a day of wasting time with rsplash40 in and around Shawano. ‘splash wanted to park as close as possible to the cache, but I convinced him that driving on the grass probably wouldn’t be appropriate. Made the long hike to GZ from the parking lot and searched for what seemed like minutes to find this well camouflaged and well hidden container. That’s how I choose to remember it, anyway.
TFTC!
TBCUnless, of course, the WGA puts on a flea market…
I think I need to witness this.
I guess I was wrong. Found it in the mailbox last night.
