It sounds like you have a “proximity setting” activated. I can’t help from work but perhaps you could scroll around the menus and turn off that function….I can look at mine and see if I can find the path later tonite if you haven’t figured it out by then.
OK I found the topic that talks about it…..In the mean time I will use a different browser…I guess that is another good reason not to use IE7
OK so is anyone else having trouble with decrypting hints?
When I select decrypt all I get is a second copy of the cache page text where the decrypted hint should be…. 👿

Well perhaps I’ll see you on the trails this weekend as I will be cachin Oshkosh on Sunday morning. I thought about bringing my bike up and caching on a path but decided to drive around instead. Have fun with the Colorado and please post back your thoughts on the model.
Wow great testing advise. I was shocked when I saw my GarminGPSCx got a signal lock IN the house…my old Vista had a tough time getting a lock on clear days.
Welcome to the boards.
…and a new bike?
Now you are talking my language!
There are a few really great bike trails with caches along them…what area do you live in?…not sure what the price was but I just put an even $50 in my Sable.
Accuracy is subjective as each unit varies each time a measurement is taken and there is no way to tell how accurate the placers unit was at the time of placement. Also I think weather and terrain can affect coords a bit as well…basically i think you might be better off asking about signal lock. A weak signal can play havoc on your coords being accurate. My old Garmin Vista would lose signal all the time so getting good coords was a real pain and trying to get to Ground Zero was tricky at times as well. when I switched to the Garmin GPS60 (insert model # here) I no longer had any issues with signal lock and the coords seemed better because I wasn’t constantly losing the satellites.
WOW! I see my Groundspeak money is going to a good cause. 😛

Someone once told me that I was as old as dirt so I guess I’m always doing my part. Happy birthday to everyone who has a birthday this week. Mine is this Sunday and I’ll be 61. We’re going to West Bend to find as many as we can. The most we’ve ever done in one day is 18 so it should be fun.
Happy birthday to ya (and to Seth)! Topping 18 should be a breeze in West Bend…have fun!

A few weeks ago I added this text to my work email signature:
Please consider the environment before printingOh I like that! I wish my work emails were important enough for people to print out. 😕
When I do print peoples emails out at work if only half of the paper has text on it (which is about 99.9% of the time) I tear it in half and use the clean part for scrap paper for writing notes and “stuff” on. I used to use post-its but now I have dozens of scraps on my desk (organized by size and neatly in my paperwork bin) instead. OK it seems silly but I feel like every little bit helps. We as a company have been recycling paper, metals, plastics for years.
So what are YOU doing to save the Earth today?
I biked to work… 😛
I’m ridin’ the ol bicycle to work at least two days this week. The company I work for pays people to ride-share or to bike in. For me it is a 7 mile bike ride and they pay me $3 a day. On Tuesday (Earth-day) they will give me $12 to bike in & breakfast (which at the facility I work at means they will cheap out and give me a granola bar) and enter me in a contest for some prizes.
cute…but faked…which is a good thing as that would really hurt.
The sound of the explosion comes before the explosion itself and the smoke vanishes instantly.@zuma wrote:
If you are interested in caches that are within 20 feet of the trail and easy to find, you might want to check out the Woodville trail. Only a couple of those are mine, but there must be at least 40 caches there, and it would be very easy to get em all in one day by bike, since the right of way is only about 20 feet on either side of the trail so all the caches are right on the trail. Your numbers would be better doing the Woodville trail; the scenary is better on the Chippewa River Trail.
zumaThanks for reminding me of the trail…I was going to go to RiverFalls and do some caching a few weeks from now but I think I will bring up my bike instead and do the woodville trail.
Biking and geocaching-my two favorite activities.
