I tend to get very upset about loose dogs. I’m a road biker and have had dogs chase me a few times. Having a dog / dogs snap at my unprotected legs while I ride really sux.
Wow that really sucks. I hope the owners get a big BIG fine.

One thing I will say is that caches I have placed that are in high muggle traffic areas are the least-liked caches and get the worse response from the caching public. Think about this when you place new caches… People like to be a bit hidden from the general public when looking around for some itty bitty little nano.
I add them to my ever growing IGNORE list. and sometimes make a…well not nice comment about the hide.
….if you place a cache (wherever it is) you should to get permission. Placing caches without permission only serves to endanger the game we play. I applaud our approvers for questioning permissions (so long as they don’t question mine that is ;)).
Poison Ivy lotion….saved my butt once as my boy had an instant and severe reaction.
I managed to find a handful this morning before the snow but even when there was only a couple of inches I still DNF’d a couple cuz they were not winter friendly. I think I got 8-9 inches of new snow today…oh well no caching again….

Great story…poor kid. We found ours about 3 months ago at the first place we looked. I feel for those who are strugglin to find em’.
Welcome and Happy Holidays.
OK last night I got one of these:
Needless to say I was very embarrassed (broke into an instant sweat)…..I guess this is what all Geocaching Men use in the woods….I must be doing it wrong then cuz so far I haven’t needed one of these.

Almost all the snow we had melted last night and we have now gotten about 1/4 of an inch of new snow….I might be able to cache this week…..
I’m thinking that they are rolling in money these past several years (this year GPS units are THE gift to buy) and can afford to be generous in their warranty service. The great thing is that they are also developing a phenomenal reputation for their brand.
Each puzzle is different but by definition:
“The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location.”
You need to solve the puzzle to get the real coords or hints as to the caches location.
I normally put the coords for my puzzle caches smack dab in the middle of a lake so that new cachers are less tempted to go to the actual listed coords. I still have people email me saying they drove around the whole lake and couldn’t find the road that lead to the center of it.
A Benchmark is a survey disc….they are located all over the place but many are in fact under several inches of dirt…some are on the sides of buildings or even water towers….

….Then I came back home and couldn’t wait to research what was in store for me in the Fox Valley 🙂 and you guessed it, Puzzles Puzzles and more Puzzles…
