Hey I thought you had to wait until 1,000 for that one….. 😉
I got my Bronze and my silver pins each in about 3 days after submission. Perhaps your request got lost?
Seems to be a whole lot of events lately that are not listed on GC. I think that the people sponsoring these events are really missing their target audience.
I wonder if the WGA is not known well enough to attract these groups to inquire about events and the likes/dislikes of its membership. Perhaps we need to start to encourage people to list the WGA banner on their caches to get the word out that we exist?
…and yes I know I do not have a banner on my caches.
can you provide me with a link?
..and no, I have no clue about the different icon.@tyedyeskyguy wrote:
Awesome Earthcache Lostby7, and the surrounding caches look like a lot of fun too Zuma!! I think I’ll have to plan a camping trip around these. They are over 250 miles from home. 🙁
That’s OK. Any excuse for a camping trip is good with me.
Thanks tyedyeskyguy!
There is camping at Nugget Lake. In fact my wife camped there many times as a child.I watch some caches I DNF until there is a finder and then I stop watching. I also watch very hard puzzles that I’m interested in trying to solve. Sometimes I watch caches as a means of reminding myself to get out that way and find a particular cache or cache in a particular area.Oh, one more reson I watch a cache: if it is close to one of my own caches I like to see when people are nearby to my caches and whether they do mine as well or skip it.
I get it half the time too when I connect directly from the link above…its weird; I thought it was only me.
Thanks Lagrac. I really wanted this one to be well done as this is a rare type of feature. I spent many many hours researching and learning about the feature and then Zuma! did some leg work at the site for me as well (Zuma! Good). Finally I asked the College Prof mentioned on the cache page (Dr. William S. Cordua) to check my work before I published it.
This was a group effort…now all I need are finders to enjoy and finish off the cache.I just checked out Zumas caches and they look awesome! Anyone wanna pan for gold???
I have pulled at least three knives out of caches….no beer yet.
(One knife was really nice too…great rosewood handle)

We were wondering about logging those we adopted from her, too. The actual caches are ones we’d already done, but we took on a few of the virtuals, too, and hadn’t done those. I mean, do we email ourselves the correct answer? 😯 In the case of one of them, I guess it’s the ONLY cache in Menominee County, so if we ever chase that goal, can we even achieve it?
I guess that’s one we’ll worry over if we actually need to, though.
Interesting conundrum. What I would do is email Lil Otter with the answers and explain why you are doing it – so that you can log the find legitimately. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind and would probably find it funny. I would put the fact that you did that in your log so people will see it. That’s what I’d do anyway.
Thats a good idea…I logged the one I adopted from her a few years ago…in fact it was one of my first caches.
WIKI has a nice bit of info as well……

Ok all you beer drinkers I mean connoisseurs out there. My wife wants to know what the heck that little plastic rocket do-hickey is in her bottle of Guinnes. Is this thing legit, or is it there to sue for a life time supply?
From a Guinness beer informational site:
How does the widget work?
The widget is a plastic moulded device which sits in the bottom of each can of Draught Guinness. When the can is opened, a small amount of beer and nitrogen, trapped in the widget, is forced out through the beer which creates the famous creamy head that you would find on a pint of Guinness served in a pub. The widget gives canned Draught Guinness the taste and texture of a pub poured pint at home.http://frodo.marshall.edu/~bennett7/guinness/guinqna.htm#How
Only after I entered “Ctrl Alt A” did it show up on the tool menu. It was not there before hand.
I have never logged my own caches (seems silly) but couldn’t care less how other people log….events, temps, multis I really do not care one iota. So long as you follow the wishes of the cache owner and do not place fake “found it” logs I say have at it.
…now where is that “Beating a Dead Horse” gif?
