Oconomowoc’s Sherpers Sporting Goods has them if you are ever in town…(45 minutes East of Madison).

I think they understand exactly how well this community communicates with each other and getting bad press for customer service would really hurt.

Tell that to Magellan!!! They make a great product which I’ve never had any problems with except for what I caused myself (cracking the window), but their customer service is AWFUL to say the least. I’ll stick by Magellan because of the reliability and durability, but I sure wish they gave a damn about us cachers.

I was going to mention that but as I do not own a Magellan and haven’t used their services I couldn’t speak first hand but I have heard many people complain about the customer service offered by Magellan (perhaps they are still mad about Lance winning their little race 7 times 😈 ).

    Congrats on the award.
They have a very fast turn-around. Took about three days for each of my pins….

Yep I agree. There is LOTS of room up by you. I’m just spitballin’ and mean no disrespect. If anything I wish I had more patience to solve some of the puzzles up there…but as you and I both know there are so many other caches up there I really don’t HAVE to solve the puzzles to go caching and still come away with a basket-full.

I see that you have a Puzzle event on the 21st in Greenfield if I recall correctly….I have come so close to signing up for that one but the puzzler in me really likes to get it on my own or not at all….that said I hope your class gets a few more people to hit some of my puzzle caches. 😈

Personally, I have about 4 solved out your way which I haven’t yet looked for or have looked for and not found….Having that many puzzles in an area just seems to be (sorry to say this) wasteful. There are a great many cachers who lack the ability or desire to solve these, and then the puzzle caches take up locations so that regular caches cannot be placed there. Granted, in the Appleton area there are still hundreds of non-puzzles to go after and it would take months to find all of those….

    Hemi,
About an hour ago I did a search of your area and was wondering the exact same thing. On a couple of the pages of caches I brought up the only caches I hadnt found were puzzles…..

I will be picking up that Gauntlet (I mean Biking glove). I DO plan to hit this series. With luck I will find time (or make it) yet this fall. Next weekend I have a 65 mile ride in Lake Mills so it would be some time after that.

This is a very exciting trip. Thanks for setting up the bookmark Zuma! and for the email. This is on my must do list. One further question….is this possible to do (for the average person) in one day?

EDIT never mind I just did the math the ride would be about 3 hours each way and at 15 minutes per cache add another 13 hours…looks like at least two days.

I think this is maybe about a 25 mile bike trail. Easy-peasy for us, if we can work it out to get away. Have at it!

Looks like double that as you don’t get to do it as the crow flies. Add up all the twists and turns and I’d place my money on about 40is miles.

Lostby, take a look at this map link.

All those caches in a line along the river are in the series. They all have names like “______ on the Chippewa River Trail.” I think there are something like 25+ in this series. We’re hoping we can do a fall color bike ride to get these in October. We were too focused on that other series of 50 in honor of zuma’s 39th birthday to do this series sooner. Interesting math, eh?

All depends on about a jillion other things falling into place, but sooner or later, we’re at ’em!

I’ll take a peak at this. I have done several 100 mile bike rides…..

in reply to: zuma! throws down a gauntlet! #1879489

I have great biking legs…..can you point me to this series?

    Thanks for the great links!

    But I’m afraid I might have hijacked LB7’s thread…..

Not at all the whole point was to get some spooky chaches listed and that is dead on where this is going……. 8)

Ok, I’ve got a Photobucket account, and have my picture uploaded there. I cut and paste the html script from there to my cache page, but now the body of the cache page is all funny, the words are all jammed together and the picture isn’t where I want it to be. More help? 😀

what is the GC #. I can help you.
Is it this: “Winona’s Second Annual CITO Festival”?
Send me the long (and short discription if you use it) and I can edit it for you.
