If it was me that the topic referred to, I’ll have to apologize, but it was 1:00 in the morning and I’m not a night owl, but caches must be logged ;).
Any log that ends in “Be cool Honeybunny” can’t be a bad thing.
My topic is not aimed at a single person….@rogheff wrote:
I for one, will admit I am guilty of this offense. Cookie cutter geocaches get cookie cutter logs.
However….
Fascinating, unique and interesting geocaches get fascinating, unique and interesting logs.
True a cookie cutter cache may get that kind but a good cache deserves better….

So far no red jeep for us either. And I was hoping for a Chili Pepper Jeep after having studied the modification of long arm lifts, sand winches, axle locckers etc to determine which jeep was capable of which Jeep trail seeking outlaws.
…well this outlaw has a head start on you. 😈

It is a very cool coin…..
WooHoo! Nice work….soon the top 100 WI cachers will all be in the 1,000s.

I got mine yesterday.. they look very cool! i wonder what the contest is this year.. never really particated in the jeep thing before… actually i think this will be my second jeep i have ever seen.. i think.. not quite sure on that..
I think they’d have to release 10 times as many for people to actually run across them occasionally…..Nice to see that the Diabetes TB’s are having a better run.
There seems to be a small contingent that plan to join in my quest to the island. Should be fun; I look forward to meeting some of the Appleton crew……
I too have been known to climb a bluff or two both with and without gear and many many trees as a kid. For kicks I would cross from treetop to treetop to see how many trees I could cross without touching the ground (16ish was my best). Anyway….that’s neither here nor there.
I think people need to be protected from themselves. While this is an awesome cache and one I may even be tempted to do, I think I’d be way better off if the temptation was not there in the first place.
When it comes down to it I’m a big fan of letting people do as they wish so long as they are not hurting anyone. But the question I ask is this, “Could I in good conscience place a cache like that?” No I couldn’t, if someone were to get injured I would never forgive myself.
I guess I’m dim what is Happy Hollow?
Never-mind I see it is a geocaching event GC11WQG funny I looked for events and it did not show up on GC; I did a google search and it popped right up.The final square on the map is the key to decrypting the 10 coded items from the case files…any GC cache page has a link to topo maps. Generally just search for what you decrypt. Google can albe helpful in narrowing down the hideout.
I read the WWJD post yesterday and thought it was clever yet somehow pathetic….I have to agree with Jeremy though don’t go reading the BIG forums (unless you like abuse). I check in about 1 or two times a month and it’s always the same crap….who’s cheating and why whatever poster is better than everyone else because their stats are pure, or they don’t place micros, or they eat lima beans or whatever……………
I bought a number of sliding MASTER LOCK key holders; they are sold at ACE and work well…I’ve had one in service for about two years with no issues.
06/18/2007 at 9:10 am in reply to: A Waterfall on Greenfield Ave.? Visit Greenfield Park Falls #1876160My bad. I meant to type “on” Greenfield. Oh well add me to the list of those dealing out misinformation…..
It would be swell if an ADMIN could change the thread title to “A Waterfall on Greenfield Ave.? Visit Greenfield Park Falls” Hopefully that will help to avoid any confusion I have caused.
😳You can use the TAB key to skip to elements on a web page. The FF is an element. When you TAB around the page eventually the “SWEET SPOT” will highlight.
