Congratulations on completing the quest! I’m just shooting for being done by 7/6. My last two vehicle choices sucked. If anyone has any hot tips on finding fast forwards, I’m all ears. My strategy the first time was not good and I wasted WAY too much of my life trying to find it!

TAB is your frend to find “Thespot”. When it comes to finding the piuc all I did was take one of the coords provided by the Quest and work my way out from there…Good luck.

LB7 must have taken advantage of some of those location requirements as he is the 107th finisher in the quest. Guess you were able to figure out that treasure map? 😉

Yep I got the map…I tend to worry; it was a breeze. ALso I think I have a good shot at landing in the top 40 finishers….not that it really matters. I had fun. Now I’m going back and finishing the 1st Quest as well.

    Put in my order. Thanks!

I was hoping that I’d get one (OK dozens) there as well………….

Agreed! In all this is a great series and thanks for placing it and bringing it to our attention.

Wow! Twelve whole puzzles! Are you kidding?!!?

Fortunately for me the puzzles are far enough not to tempt me to strain myself too much so yes 12ish puzzles……

Puzzles are another matter. You can sit at home and solve a bunch of them. Then, off on a road trip to find them.

So basically MAP the caches and then pick the ones closest to your planned route skipping the tough ones. I number the caches in my GPS as well so that I just hit goto on the unit and it will take me to the next site on my list (which also follows my planned route).

I’m content to get a few finds and enjoy some new scenery anytime we go out, but Trekkin’ says he wants to “step out of the box” and try to hit some big numbers days. We’ve tried a few times, but I guess we’ve chosen poorly.

How the heck do some of you manage to log 20 or more finds in a day?

    *WEST BEND
    *APPLETON

In both places I have hit 30 plus in a day without breaking a sweat…..

Also a GPS with autorouting is VERY helpful!

I have two requirements to go and they are both on hold right now…one req is 30 miles away and the other is well over 80 miles away……I wil have both by month end however (providing I find them).

IF you kept track of the locations of the outlaws as you went along I can tell you the final 2 location requirements which might save you some gas and time.

I keep track of everything! I’m a 9 on the OCD ratings scale. I for example, can tell you my exact stats for speed or distance traveled for any given day for the last 3,000 miles I rode on my bike. I track everything………….. 🙄

Neat series, though I wonder how long several of those will last.

I was wondering the same thing that’s why I recommend doing this series on a weekend or early morning. Doing so will help parts of this series last a bit longer.

Thanks Lb7!! I’ll have to check it out after I get back from Indy.

It’s a park and grab so if your gonna come all the way out at least do a couple of the other local caches while you’re here.

This was a nice series. The whole thing took about an hour and a half.

I did not go look for Cravath Lakefront ( GC12YZQ ) as there were reports that it was missing and I DNF’d Prairie Tillers Mural ( GC12YZV ). I’m pretty sure the coords are off on this one.

This was a great series and it WILL bring people to the city. I was surprised how much new stuff is there since I graduated 10 or so years ago.

I recommend doing this in the early morning or on a weekend as some of these hides are a bit public.

One of the caches in the series may be missing and it won’t get checked on until Monday – although anyone is welcome to go try to find it anyway.

But a geocacher with any experience won’t need it to find the final.

I’m halfway to the solution on that final mystery and I havent left the house yet 😈
