I’m planning on visiting Beloit and Janesville to nab a TRAIN cache and a TOY CAR cache (and 20 of their geocache friends) on Sun.
I’m going to get most of the remaining outlaw req’s found this weekend and then take my chances on the last couple I couldn’t come up with by hoping that the secondary “Location Req” will be something I have done in the past week or so………which is like 30 ish caches so there is a decent chance that one of those will fit somehow.@Trekkin’ and Birdin’ wrote:
You can also use mapquest. There’s a feature that allows you to put in latitude and longitude. Do that, then switch to aerial view and zoom in and out to see what it’s like. I’ve been using that, have caught 5 outlaws and only got a small penalty from one vehicle choice so far.
I got an 8 hour and 3 hour penalty out of 5 picks so far.

i’m logging my first outlaw tonite. anyone have any help on picking the vehicles? i put all the locations into google earth, and they pretty much all look very rugged to me. i know jack about off roading and the cars all seem alike to me. well except for the mini van and the water fording types. i don’t figure to have any chance for completing early enough to be in the running, just not getting out caching much right now, but i would still like to try for a good time.
You have till July to finish so there is no rush…and if you don’t finish by then it’s no problem you just don’t get bragging rights, but you do get to finish …no matter how long it takes.
Google Jeep trails in Utah…that may help…I was too lazy to do that though…..I’m tired.@3 Hawks wrote:
I’m to the point where I should have the option of a “fast forward.” Unfortunately, I am unable to find the hidden map-point.
Does anyone have any insight into this topic?
Thanks!
I’m not there yet and have to hold off on my next hunt as I will be at the Trek100 for several hours on Sat. That said by the time I chase my next villain it will be too late for you.

I think I messed up. Signed up for Johnny Waypoint figuring on going for the alternate requirement. But the cache I was planning on using I had already found!!! And I can’t find anything with the name steel, bend, bending, iron or anything metal related. And I was suppose to log it 2 hours ago. Sometimes ya just make a bad decision. Keep on hunting! Good luck to all.The primary req was just to find a cache and then draw the star with your gps and then snap a pic of your screen…..any cache will do for this req, you just need to be able to draw the star…..
I found 34 this weekend and DNF’d almost every cache that I could use for the hunt ! I think I might place a cache with the title I mentioned…and perhaps add a few more words as well and make it a micro puzzle cache. In fact I already know the spot…stay tuned.
The cache title I proposed was so that if someone was missing ONE of the req’s then they could get ONE cache that had all the reqs listed in the title to fit whatever ONE they were missing.
ALso…it was a joke.@greyhounder wrote:
Ummm, this one is hard!

I DNF’d Four reqs this morning! This so sucks…….
I think we all need to place a micro cache called “Going to a Dog Park: Angel Jasper’s Mighty Double Trouble Jeep Puzzle cache.”@Ratz and company wrote:

I could use some help finding caches with James or Jim in the name or team that jplaced the cache! You and me both….
I’m so psyched for this one! T-Minus 30 minutes…..
Come on peeps lets get a good group of Wisconsin participants!!!@pharmteamK wrote:
The answer Lostby7 got about the impact of a late start is making us think that maybe we will play again too.
I hope you do play….I wish WI had a bigger contingent of gamers. GPS The Game and Coin Quest are/were great fun.

May the outlaws be outwitted by the WI posse!!!!
Well let most of them be…… 😉

For me a night cache is any cache I go after once the sun has set 😉 ok ok but I just couldn’t help it
I like to call those early morning caches…I usually start before sunup…..
A night cache is one which generally cannot be done in the daylight. They are usually based on finding small reflectors along a trail with a flashlight; very often these are multi-caches.
Glow in the Dark 2 ( GCH1QB ) is such a cache.
And…should you find yourself in San Diego The Forbidden Forest ( GCME1Z ) can’t be beat.
I’ll be playing 😉
