Thank you. (As I hang my head in shame). ….
That’s why there is the help section, so people like us can get a bone tossed to us when we space. The peeps here are a great asset when you have a question.

Personally I could give a rip what someone like Criminal thinks. 🙄 Or for that matter those others which NEED to be negative about everything done outside their own actions; it’s always the same people bashing the same topics…you’d think they’d get tired of being so negative all the time.
WOW!
I know where I’m going next time I’m in Brazil.
Nice find!@Team Hemisphere Dancer wrote:
Is there any particular street map software you would recommend? Ans where do the POI’s come from?
The POI’s are part of the mapping software. I’m currently using my Old Map Source MetroGuide (v6) maps on the new unit (with a little assist from another program) so I can’t speak for the new mapping software.
I just bought the GPSMAP 60Cx and really like it; it gets a great signal lock INSIDE the house so some tree cover shouldn’t be much of a problem. My last unit was the Garmin Vista.
It seems to me that topo really isn’t that needed (especially if you live in metro areas) and that one of the main reasons people upgrade to the Map60’s is to get the auto routing function. Ultimately you have to make up your mind but for me it is WAY more useful to have a street map-set.
Oh and the 64 card included will be enough to include the whole state and then some (granted I just picked up the 1gig card for under $20 shipped, so I can also load a bunch of the states nearest to me too).
A 1 gig sd micro is on sale at Best Buy for $42…hummm now let me do the math on this…$42 plus tax and a drive to Best buy or $18.98 on my doorstep. Thanks for showing me New Egg; now I see why people rave about this place.
This item is now “Out Of Stock”…crud.
Roll call check in…There certainly is a greater buzz about this election than what surrounded the last….I have to wonder if that is because our numbers are swelling?
Head a bit further East and hit BOB, now that will boost yer stats a bit 😉
I’ll be over for a visit come springish.@decdogg wrote:
Congrats. Your slightly overdressed? Unless your on your way to a gourmet dinner.
I was at a Jimmy Buffett party the night before and thought that I may as well just come in the same clothes…. 😛
Hey thanks for the props…I was really happy to be able to mark a milestone at an Earthcache! Here’s the pic:

We will be there with a birthday cake! 😀
That’s thoughtful…my daughter will turn 11.
I’m not sure what I did to be nominated though…
Well your nomination should come as no surprise to those of us who know you. Congrats.

How about someone who found 136 caches in a year, but the stats only show a 5 cache increase? (hmmm….how did that happen? My little secret!!)
BecI know, I know…..and this individual is not alone in that feat. Numbers are just a fun thing that happens along the way; they do not tell who a cacher is. I like to go on numbers runs but I admire those who do only a few caches a month choosing to do multis and long walks. Should the board cache, yes; should they be concerned with numbers, no.
I’m always up for a puzzle or game….it seems as if I’m a bit competitive. 😉
