Solved.
HP2 is correct. Stereograms or “Magic Eye” puzzles. This version has a little twist though which is pretty unique.
My eyes do not function correctly and I have never been able to see an image on that type of puzzle….kinda bums me out.

There was something here a while back about a geocaching hall of fame. I wasn’t fond of that proposal, and I’m not fond of this one. There are way too many geocachers I know of who fit the bill just in Wisconsin alone. There is no way that any one cacher out of five million worldwide can be singled out each month for this or any kind of an honor.
Geocaching is a game, not a contest. There are no winners and there are no losers. While this appears to be honoring those who uphold to the nth degree the ideal standards of geocaching, it is still a contest. Bad idea, IMO.
I would not nominate any one geocacher, nor would I vote for any one geocacher.
Ditto.
Ditto that Ditto.
I think this is an idea in bad taste.@AstroD-Team wrote:
Question for Earthcache owners do you prefer each person in the group wanting to claim the find to send the answers or one email with all the names of those in the party? Why? Kind of curious as to what the consensus is around here.
Preference is one email with answers from each team not one email answering for several teams. Many times when one person sends answers for several teams the other teams may take days or even weeks to log the find then it get confusing as to whether of not the answers were ever sent…

I’m not sure if this is the correct place for this question, the Groundspeak Forums really aren’t very user friendly anymore are they? I recieved an email this morning that one of my caches needs maintenence. I never did recieve the email days ago of several finds on my caches by the same member. What gives??? π
The GS forums are not only not as user friendly, they are not friendly. In any case some times the frog in charge of sending out notifications gets backed up and occasionally it doesn’t send notices at all…but that later is a rare occurrence. You might check your spam folder just in case notices went there though…

Usually I send the answers ahead of logging any finds. That way I don’t forget later.
A good way to approach the logging…I did two virts this past week and logged them without even thinking that “hey you needed to send emails to the owner.” It was hours later that I remembered they were virts and needed special attention.

I just spent the last four days sending emails to owners and resizing pictures for the logs of the 50-60 earthcaches (and virtuals) done in 10 different states over the last two weeks.
Let me take the opportunity to say….”WOW.” I get a bit overwhelmed with 10 virts…organizing the information for 50-60 virts is amazing. I wish I was along for that trip it must have been fantastic!

Here is an interesting twist to another problem. What does a person do when the CO isnΓ’β¬β’t reachable to answer the question?
To receive credit for this cache please answer the following question:β¨On the wall of tiles, for whom does the ‘Kettle Moraine Chapter’ honor?

This cache is located in Plover, WI at the Korean War Veterans Memorial. Take your time here to read about the statues and their symbolism, and to read the dedications on the wall tiles. We also ask that you respect those that are honored here and for those that have served our country, and remove your hat while visiting.
To receive credit for this cache please answer the following question:β¨On the wall of tiles, for whom does the ‘Kettle Moraine Chapter’ honor?I believe typically non-responsive owners of Virts have their listings archived by the Frog.

OK what gives? 3 of the last 4 finders of my ECs did not send answers. I gave one “dude” 2 days then just deleted his one word (“awesome”) log. He responded with an email calling me an ass. He has found three ECs (and 64 other caches) and should know the drill. I forwarded his remarks to the Frog. The second one not sending me answers this week has only 20 finds and is a bit of a noob still (two word log and all); I sent a reminder email to that team. And yet another one….really? What is the point of putting anything on the page as they are clearly not reading it. π
I’ve got two ec’s that I did today that I need to upload pics and answers for you. I promise not to call you names if you give me some slack π
I typically don’t even give a thought until after several days so you are still in the clear. Once several days go by I check out a finders profile and decide to delete or remind based on lots of factors like their newness to the game, have they done ECs before, are they traveling…the ‘Dude” whose log I just deleted gave a one word log so he was already on my sh!+ list. As he also had some finds under his belt it was an easy call to delete the log.
This week I also got a log backdated to a few years before I published the cache. His log was deleted as well due to incorrect answers and the fact that the park has been closed for the better part of two years. The park is closed temporarily due to safety concerns and allowing even a backdated log is asking for trouble with those who gave me permission to have the cache in the park in the first place….always fun when you have a few EarthCaches.
…and ya know what, I was an ass. I could have emailed Dude but his lackluster one word log really didn’t inspire me to take the time to remind him of the EC logging requirements.

LOL I’ve been outed. I like to get ECs for milestones…Devil’s Lake is an amazing place to visit as always. Balanced Rock was a toughie due to the hot weather and the fact that I walked WAY past it and had to back track. Met folks from Manitoba Canada and Germany while on the trail. The thing we have in common is the love of nature and of things geological.

I got my Quartz and am nearly halfway to Mica. Boy, Garnet seems a long way off though. How about you Lostby, which level are you on?
9 to go to get 100 and the Mica level…thought about going on an EC run today….I could knock the last 9 out in a day near West Bend. I found a bunch in the Dells on Tuesday and Wed. My hope is to get 100 by Fall.
…Unfortunately I have several half finished projects to do around the home….just finishing the week-long process of painting the exterior of my home at the moment.
Very cool….was thinking about doing those today or tomorrow…but I will likely just stay home and PAINT the house (it’s so much bigger than it looks).

You do have to buy the chirp thingie and place it somewhere so it can broadcast your info, too. We have yet to do one of them ourselves.
I bought two when they came out and still haven’t gotten around to getting the second one out in the wild.
If you have a GPS that can receive the information, just turn on the feature get it near your new chirp and follow the directions on the GPS…it’s all fairly straight forward. You can add coords and other text information for the chirp to broadcast.
There is a cache near me and the page says the neighbors know about it….but the location can be seen by about 8 different houses. I doubt that all the neighbors know about it. That went on the ignore pile instantly….what kills me is that there is a park available for use 300 feet from the home.
