Hummm… I had to enter the addy directly as my browser kept giving me an error page. Darn Mozilla!!! Well I’m here now!
Ya know I sure do like the look of the back of the campout coin…or is that the front….the side with the state on it; maybe in green (and gold)?

OK, camping is out for me. I couldn’t get out there until about 2am…If anyone is interested in carpooling from Oconomowoc we could meet at “Another park and ride hide” (GCQ1TQ) right off of I94 (or at my home about 2 miles away for more secure parking).
My plan is to head out very early and hit one or two caches on the way to the Gauntlet, then get the Gauntlet done and head back home after about a half hour or so of high fives.[This message has been edited by Lostby7 (edited 05-22-2006).]
OK here’s what I pulled from the logs…am I missing anything important (other than nerves of steele that is)?
Heavy gloves
A hat
Hip waders for slogging thru those horrid thorn bushes.
First aid kit
Snake bite/bee sting kit
Calculator
Food
Water (At least a 6 pack of H2o each is a good start)
Bring a walking stick…it could just save your life!
Inhaler
Allergy medicine
Hand towel
C-cell MAG lite AND extra C-Cell batteries
Headlamps AND Spare Headlamp batteries
Walkie-Talkies AND Spare batteries
GPS AND Spare batteries
Spare Batteries
One change of clothes in pack
One change of clothes in car
Camera
Zip-lock bags
TP
Climbing ropes
SHOES: Mud boots, climbing shoes, old tennis
Bug spray
Tick scoops
Pepper spray (for those pesky bears)
Fanny pack filled with granola bars
Driver’s license for identification
Glasses[This message has been edited by Lostby7 (edited 05-23-2006).]
LB7 is arriving solo (unless I end up carpooling with Black Belts or others passing by Oconomowoc on the way). I don’t have waders but I do have a climbing harness….if I go high would I need the waders?

I’m sure hoping we do not find ourselvers needing that kind of assistance!

This may be a good way to get people off to an early start on the cache as it looks like it’s going to be an all day affair…Personally the earlier we get started in the morning the better!
So ball park how long is this going to take?

…I’m pretty darn tempted come along and bring a video camera to record the hike and post it so others could see. It with out a doubt is worth capturing……
OH that would be so AWESOME!
You can’t go wrong by camping at ottawa lake. There’s quiet, big woods & a nice small lake to cool off in. http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/parks/specific/kms/camping.html
There are a bunch of really great caches here!quote:

Done! I had to bite my tounge to not trash this dude in the comments section. I just stated that this was not a constructive use of the bookmark function.
