  • I prefer to cache alone most of the time as my youngins have a hard time keeping up, and I have a hard time slowing down so thus far I have found about half of my caches alone and half with my family. I take the fam on shorter hikes and easier finds, but in general I like the solitude of wandering around (lost) in the woods alone with my thoughts.

    Not sure where you are drawing your stats from but I found this link to a great resource for stats.

    I’ve now run into several of this type. I own one and will archive as well. Thanks for passing this on Uncle Fun.

    We need to ammend the 528 rule to read 52.8 feet between caches. I think ths will solve most all our gas price issues as related to geocaching.

    My goal is to hit 200 this year; oh wait that will be no problem as I’m at 199 looking for that next special find.

    LOL.
    I saw that too; it’s a cycling sock. Oh and for the record I only use puppet accounts when I vote for COTM.

    That is a neat idea CB&MB. Who doesn’t like a surprise of the Jeep kind??? I’m thinking that may be the fate of the Jeep I picked up two days ago. {evil smile developing}

    We are to catch and release them. But I agree, I think there is more catching than releaseing going on.
    I got one yesterday and I’m going for one tomorrow so look for one (or two) to be released in the Oconomowoc area later this week.

    Woot!!!
    I had a very nice time meeting up with a bunch of fellow cachers. It was great to put faces to the names I read so often in the logs. Thanks to all for all the hard work that went into this event!

    ECHO! I slow it down a bit in the summer for the same reasons. It will be nice in the fall once I get back out in full force and hit some of the caches around me I have been left as yet unfound. Enjoy the sport!!!! I look forward to reading your logs and hopefully finding your caches as well.
