I find it interesting that one of the purported reasons for eliminating ALRs on physical caches was that it got away from the core purpose of geocaching, which is apparently finding Tupperware in a bush.
I guess when it’s your sandbox, you can rake it any way you want.
+1
-I’m still pissed (yes pissed) about the way ALRs were banned and how ECs got the short end of the stick with photo requirements being made optional. Good luck with the new Virts…

49 days for me.
Currently on day 36 of a new no cache streak…unless you count the “Attended” at the event I was at over the weekend.
Now day 52…
…and just when I was thinking that only Apple I-phones had these bugs…so much for my feeling all superior.

It gets the time from the towers, it could be your local tower doesn’t know about DST. Call your cell phone provider and ask them if everything is ok with your towers.
I know it is supposed to work that way…my wife drove thirty miles away to work and still didn’t get an update from a cell tower which makes me think it is the phone model itself. Plus the kids phones updated just fine.

The Wife has a Lg Optimus (android) and I had to turn it off for a few seconds and then turn it back on and it set it self.
Yep, that’s the one I have as well…really lame. I found some discussions on this phone and tons of folks had to do a restart to get the time to update…… 🙄
that was not an option on my system. all I could do was change 24 hour format and change the date format. there were no other options for me the kids had lots of different options. Pretty lame.
My kids phones (different Android model) updated automatically…apparently I need to shut mine off and do a restart to get mine to update….LAME!
I did a cache that was overlooking a clothing optional beach in San Diego several years back…this one looks like a real challenge (if done as intended).

In the grand scheme of things, this is minor, but WTMJ 4 news just reported that the new estimate for capitol damage repair is $350,000. Still quite a bit, but a far cry from the $7.5 million estimate from yesterday. Just sayin’…
That’s the cost for gov workers to fix it. I’d do it for half that. 😀
Can I hold the ladder for you?
Myself and three others will stand nearby and watch the work.

So it looks like this site is up and running now and there’s even some familiar names who have hidden caches in WI. Now that it’s up, what do you think (people who have used it for hiding or finding)?
PS – there’s no sign of the creepy beaver.
I think is is vastly inferior to GroundSpeaks system.

Not really, all you have to do is take your thumb and index finger, stick out your tongue and pinch it between the two fingers.
Please post a picture if you have one, but not one of those oversized ones. That would be gross.
Thanks for the levity both of you. I am about the least political person I know…but this whole situation has really gotten under my skin. I cannot even imagine what this feels like to folks who are steadfast Republicans or Democrats.
