Okay, wasn’t buggy just user error combined with no clear direction on what I was supposed to do. Had to click the drop down on status to change from draft to active.
It took me two tries as well.
Garmin has seen large sales drops in several areas of it’s business…These items have been in the news for the past 6 months. The appearance of the Garmin Geocaching site has been speculated since updates to the Oregon changed the Geocaching logo to a treasure chest and then came the Chirp. The writing was on the wall for this new site for some time.
I think they have gotten a bit too comfortable as the worldwide face of Geocaching. They have forgotten the fact that we support them; our caches, our creativity. I have seen too many restrictions and instances of censorship on their part for my taste.
I have 5 as well….not sure what the point is but hey at least the frog is trying new things.
I remember way back when there was only one in the state….oh those were the days.

Garmin bought the .com version from a previous owner…that or the domain name expired and then they registered it again, but I suspect the former happened.
Oh don’t you go there…I have looked for a few of those in yer neck on multiple times only to leave with sap on my hands and an unused pen. I say cut away.

Garmin claims to have been in contact with the various OC.xx admins, but none of them have heard word one from Garmin. Very underhanded. Still don’t understand why they couldn’t create something new instead of trying to pirate an existing name.
If this has been in the works for awhile, maybe they already had the name 1st?
Garmin may have been working on this site for over a year based on the placement date of the cache shown in an image earlier in the tread…but that is an assumption.
