There is no reason to add a checker…just be sure there is only one solution…or let folks know there are multiple ones…again part of the fun of puzzle ownership…been there done that.
Plug the puzzle into an online solver and see if it now has a unique solution…if so send him one final email or post that the puzzle now has only one solution…I’d call his actions irritating but not really harassment. Puzzles bring out the worst in some folks. Irritating some folks is part of the “fun” of owning a puzzle cache…
But still no coordinates checker
Doesn’t look like harassment to me….unless there were less friendly posts…or maybe that’s not the post / poster of which you speak. I can’t blame the person for wanting a coords checker when the puzzle offered three possible solutions…though I see you corrected it now.
back as a noob I went after a FTF in a Full-on blizzard. The roads were solid ice and it was the middle of the night to boot…..I didn’t even find the cache.
Cool coin….I have only seen one space ship…actually now that I think of it it wasn’t very far from a geocache (GC1Y7BD) that I had found previously. It was right over hwy 83 at around 4am…
The ship flew off before I could see what they (presumably aliens) were up to.
I started in 04′ which does not make me a veteran cacher but I can tell you there have been lots of changes in not only the caches (elimination of virts, locationless, webcams…)but the quality of the swag has become a joke these days…when I first started it was not uncommon to find quasi-valuable items in a cache; there were things worth trading for. I don’t even bother with trades anymore…I rarely even look through all the junk. Ammo cans are a rarity now…”back in the day” I’d find these fairly often. But things aren’t better or worse today…only different. Caching is still fun and it still takes me to cool places and I guess that is what’s most important for me.
Is the county park system entry-fee based (I don’t think they are)? If so I’d tell them to take a flying leap and encourage geocachers to avoid the county parks….if there are no entry fees then I guess you just have to deal with it or vote out the folks who made this policy.
Also it seems pretty clear that the parks system and the West Bend Chamber are not going to see eye to eye on this policy….I find it interesting how the “Geocaching Capital of the Midwest”â„¢ is located in an overly restrictive and even cache-prohibitive area.
Ya not lovin the guidelines…
Geocaching is not allowed in: Lizard Mound County Park, the Washington County Golf Course, or other sensitive areas that the Assistant Administrator determines cannot tolerate human traffic including but not limited to: stream banks, wetlands, prehistoric and historic archaeological sites, unique geological features, steep slopes, areas containing plants that are hazardous to humans or other unsafe areas.
Can’t have those pesky EarthCaches showin off the planet…
The owner / placer of the cache may leave the cache at the permitted location for no more than 2 years. After removal, the owner / placer is responsible for returning the site to its original condition to the satisfaction of the Assistant Admin. for Golf & Parks.
Wow am I glad I don’t live in Washington County….remember folks, these are your tax dollars at work.

As someone who deals with this chemical on a daily basis, I can tell you that exposure to this is very serious….As you might guess, I won’t use this or allow it to be used by any of my loved ones.
Yet another good reason for me to stay out of the thickets a bit more during the tick season…
Earning $48K puts you in the top 1% in the world…I would guess at least 80% of married couples here would fall into this…
I’m not buying the totals….with about $10 in the bank I’m sitting in the top 5% in the world of richest folks….OK my numbers might be a bit fuzzy but still the figures seem pretty out of whack.

….After finding a few more in the car the total is up to 49 and one that showed up at 3am makes it 50.
Yeiks….after about 2 or three I would throw in the towel. Thanks goodness for urban hides…during these tick heavy months my find totals go way down.
you could always just post the GC code… GCVYKT
Jeremy made it so that if we write a GC number it is automatically made into a HTML link.I kayaked to that cache 2 years ago this month…fun cache.
I have decided to drive to the event Friday afternoon then cache until dark and return early Sat…unless someone has some tent space on their site…
I could only find campgrounds that had minimum two day stays….seriously, anyone wanna let me crash on their site…or on their front lawn on Friday night?

(as a side note I have removed all but about a dozen family members and freinds from my Facebook friends so if I defriended you it was nothing personal…there are no geocachers among my Facebook friends).
Well, I’m taking it personally.
[OFF TPOIC]
Sorry it was a tough decision to defriend some of you but Facebook was taking up too much of my time and I felt that to be fair to all my caching friends I’d have to either keep them all or defriend them all…In reality I think I have left about a half a dozen folks as friends and they rarely post….besides I ramble enough on these boards for those one or two of you who actually care to catch up on my adventures….If I wasn’t spying on ( I mean monitoring) my boy’s account (he has a first girlfriend 😉 ) I’d have deleted my account at this point.[/OFF TOPIC] -
