Will, I was working with Chrome and it always frustrates me that I can’t back up to my c drive or desktop or whatever I want. That’s helpful info, too, as I generally do use Chrome for most things.

I like Chrome but hate the way it handles downloads….

    Gary,

That’s really helpful. For some reason, I don’t seem to be getting the screen or anything resembling it for step 4. I should not need to open the file, correct? That’s where I was getting something about not being able to open this file and check for the program stuff. I’ll try a different browser or something to see if that helps.

I sure hope Dave is wrong, but given his line of work….he probably isn’t. I’ve taken some steps already toward that end, thanks Dave for the heads up.

Yes there is no reason to open the file. I used Firefox, other browsers handle downloads differently so there might not be a dialog box (I just tried saving by using Internet Explorer and it worked with a dialog box also)…sometimes you just need to know where your downloads end up on the computer….you could always do a search for the name of the file if you can’t seem to figure out where / if it downloaded….I’m no tech guy though so take all my advise with a grain of salt…

I must be saving it the wrong way, cause I need to go between windows and then I can’t drag and drop. I’ll have to spend a bit more time with it tonight after work.

I’m sure it’s like any of this stuff….once learned, it’s a snap. Thanks for the help!

I’ll try it when I get home and grab some screen shots of the process then post em here.

Having uniform containers for the program is a good idea.
If the cost of the containers is a sticking point for the DNR, couldn’t we find 20 people here willing to donate $30 each?

I’m guessing the point of this is that the DNR are PARTNERS in this program. As partners they would be expected to contribute to the success of the program.

I do like this concept very much and hope it comes to fruition.

Anyone have some good lodging tips for the Waukesha area?

Looking at The Country Springs Hotel. Anyone with kids been there?

…well it is OK if your kids are younger. I was just there with my 12 and 13 year old and they have no desire to return…I guess they were spoiled by the waterparks in the Dells.

    Cool.
That is a huge feature in the Midwest and accounts for most of the interesting geology on Wisconsin’s Eastern half (as well as being responsible for Niagara Falls).

Also, the escarpment runs further south than the Horicon Marsh down past Ledge Park ( GC1Z2ZN ) and further yet past the Southern Kettle Moraine ….See Brady’s Rock ( GC150BF ).
