My sister in law and my folks business are both on the list.

Let it also be known that Opps5 also does switch wiring for the electrically challenged. 😛

I just asked a similar question of a reviewer, in regard to rearranging some caches of mine in order to squeeze in another. I was told one ammo box cache needed to stay 528′ or more from the first stage of my multi, which is a metal strip hanging in a tree. If it is part of the multi, the distance requirements are the same as for a cache.
If you are only talking about a single cache the stages and final may be as close or as far as you like. If another cache is involved (yours or someone elses) then you need to be 528 feet away from any physical item (WPT marker or container).

So it’s my understanding that two separate caches, whether owned by the same cacher or by two different cachers, need to have all parts 528 feet from each other. However, within the same multi, you can have less than 528 feet between stages, whether virtual stages or physical stages. We have a five-part multi where some of the stages are 400 feet apart and some are .12 miles apart, etc.
Correct. If it is your multi you can have the WPTs as close togeather as you like…if it’s another cache of yours or someone elses then you need to follow the 528 rule for any physical marker or container (virtual items such as signs which you use for information gathering alone are exempt from the 528 rule).

Congrats on 900, and I just wanted to add that I really liked the photo of the cache on the cache page. Great to see a happy family in the snow holding a big ol ammo box and all smiling. Wonderful photo.

Wow look at all the Craphas…..
I love Virts / ECs and have found 99 of them in total. I really miss Verts (well the good ones anyway). I like to learn about stuff just as much as I love to find film cans on guard rails….OK maybe the guard rails kinda suck but finding something with a log to sign is usually a good thing.
Congrats on 900…see ya on Thursday night. 😛
All they needed to do was change the question and make it clear that the BS logs would be deleted…. I have only had about 10 or so BS logs made on mine…(that I know of).
Well thanks for dropping by (and posting). As always if you have questions just shout. We sure do love to post…..and even offer advise at times….some times even good advise.

really thinking of getting a 550 for a Christmas gift for my self (although it will be a couple of days late) is it worth the extra $100 for the topo maps, or are the base maps decent enough for navigation in the woods?
I don’t have TOPO maps and I have never used them. So long as you have the tracklog on and aren’t deep in the backwoods (and if you were you should really have more than just a GPS to be your guide), you should be fine without it…but then again if you do get the TOPO you can also add the city maps on the SD card and toggle back and forth…but then you are looking an another $100 on top of the TOPO.
I guess if you do lots of hiking in the deeps woods it might be worth it.
My wife invites people over every year….I don’t drink (well maybe one or two drinks every few months). I actually dislike the holiday; so much stupid crap goes on when folks drink too much.
I do love Chad…these guys are from Madison Wi.
