It is absolutely a numbers run…would I expect great caches or amazing views…no. What I would expect is a day with friends doing something completely pointless just to see if it can be done…Why do I ride a bike 100 miles…it’s a hella long way and my body aches after about 2 hours in the saddle (and then constantly for the next 3 hours of saddle time as well and sometimes for days afterwords)…but I do it to see if I can…I see this as the same thing….stupid but fun and a challenge to see how far ones body and mind can go, to see if can be planned and successfully executed…if one gets say 300 smiles along the way so be it.
I love what geocaching has brought me to see and I love the different challenges it presents….a long hike in the mountains, a walk through the desert while watching for rattlers, or a power caching day…it’s all good.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun. Anybody who wants to go for a trip in March for 300/day in IL, just sign up below. (Unless you have problem flatulence that is.)

If you are serious about another run I’d be interested in partaking…I sure do like to push the limits of human endurance…
Are these winter friendly?
…I find myself wondering how long it takes before one feels like a zombie?
Always a pleasure to meet and speak with both of ya…congrats on yet another milestone.

Makes me wonder if we should have let Bart go?
I don’t think Bart’s not being here is the problem. Rodgers made some major strides this week in throwing the ball away. At least a couple of times. I think McCarthy’s head is getting closer the chopping block.
Ya the pass defense is a joke…that said Bart always made it easy to get away from the pass rush….the team has some serious work to do to get back on track.
Makes me wonder if we should have let Bart go?
I read that log earlier today.

Congratulations to Marc, Ralph, Seth and Bob on finding 232 caches in 24 hours south of the border. See GC1Y22P for the whole story. The only other thing I have to say is “wish I was there”.
Yep…I would have liked to been on that trip as well….amazing job.
Mine is up and running….
Well I have it running on my page (it is very easy to toggle on and off) and I will rate (some) caches going forward…but I also see that it is not really being used in this area….it is neat though.

http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=9380&highlight=I may have been on my bike….have you used this and if so any thoughts?
What I had in mind was more of a “We the undersigned believe…” include 40 or so signatures to a well crafted request and let the chips fall where they may…at worst things stay the same. Also post the note on the GC boards and see who else feels the same or better yet approach a few other state GC groups and see if they too see a need and then present their organizations name and their named members on the list of undersigned as well….
…but first I’d like to see if this is something we as individuals would like to see….yes a poll will eventually be held once clear opinions are formed.
But, keep in mind it has been stated that there is something “in the works” to address the puzzle issues we are discussing…what in the works means is anyone’s guess….maybe we can get clarity on that issue….

I have heard some rumblings that GS is planning to add attributes for the solve at home/solve in the field differences on puzzle caches. In my opinion, this would add a lot of utility to those who are visiting from outside the area.
That would be VERY helpful…that might just be enough to get me back to adding some puzzles to the menu…not exactly what I want but a really good start.

I tried logging in around 1 PM yesterday. Got a screen message stating the site was down for maintenance. First time I have seen that. Usually, it just does not load, or an error message.
They implemented this screen during an update about 2 or 3 months ago and have used it for each actual site update day since.
I was happy to see this new page…now maybe they could add a nice picture of the frog or something….perhaps a Sudoku to solve while we wait?
