Well, my buddy finally got back to me. Unfortunately all I got out of him was, “I imagine the internet would be a great resource”. Sorry LB7.
LOL…no big….I think I might be sold on the Maine coast……
Please also check on county park sticker needs as well as I see several county parks in the area…not sure if those are fee entry based or not…of if any of the new caches will show up there anyway.
Also….are the caches to apear first at the Friday night or first online?

And now I have to spend twice as much to get that 3-4 year old used car for my daughter to drive to school.
Looks like she will be waiting until she gets out of college before she gets a car!
I’m in that boat as well. My daughter is still about 2 years from a car but the search is already on…I saw a really nice red Mitsubishi Eclipse for $5K yesterday….hummm is the car for her or for me…..

Heard on the news this morning that the program has pretty much blown through the additional $2 B cache…I mean “cash” infusion.
Who knew that giving away money would be so popular?
…and they may start issuing vouchers for a future purchase as there are no more cars left on the lots left to buy…..
wow the registrations just keep coming for all the events…this is gonna be be big.

Oh I’m so excited about a feature I found on the 550. It has tide scheduals. Pick a spot on the map and it shows the time the tides will be high and low. It also shows water depth at all times in the area on a graph. It is very cool.
Are you hoping to pick the optimal time to approach a T5 somehwere?
My next vacation will near some “dramatic” tides….this feature is gonna be awesome helpful…
Ya I’m not even listed for ECs…I should be 42nd by their chart.

The rocks I was educated in are gallstones and kidney stones….
But how to spin that for an EarthCache creation…?
There are city wide events….I thought about holding a geocaching event for the 70th but then I remembered that I’m way too reserved for such a thing. In any case, please do visit town on Thursday night as the party will be grand!
There will be a commemorative plaque placed at the event so you can count me to place a geocache or two based on it.
Here is a link to the festivities.

To this date, there are ten IATCC’s Most of them are in Southeastern WI. It’s a nice program to get Geocachers and Earth Cachers onto the Ice Age Trail. I’ve got a few potential spots in the early development stages. If anyone would like to give advice on developing an Earth cache I would greatly appreciate it.
The best advise I can give you is to go out and do some and get a feel for what they are about then find something interesting that you yourself want to learn about…then teach us about it once you understand it.

I would certainly accept it, but then I don’t have any caches that use the standard “take a pic of you and your GPS with blah blah blah” ALR as I, perhaps unlike many of you, find it rather boring. I try to make my earthcaches tough enough with uniquely site specific information and ALR’s that you can’t get them on-line and the only way to log the cache is to make the find.
You are not kidding I need to set aside an afternoon to answer one of yours which is on my todo (eventually) list.
