Not hot enough to stop me from riding the geobike around Greenbay today.
…nor enough to keep the streets of Oconomowoc safe from my two wheeled madness.

What type of accommodations are you looking for?
Well the free kind of course…..Anyone wanna split a camp site?
I’m serious about sleeping in the car….I did it the first night at Geobash and that seemed to work out OK. I live too close to really justify paying for accommodations but far enough that I don’t really want to drive 6 one hour trips to the area…I plan to be in the car going from cache to place for most of the weekend as it is.
I plan to attend all three….now who wants to lend me a patch of green for my tent? …or I will be sleeping in my car.
WTG. Amazing.
The new Garmin Oregon 500 series will tag locations with the coordinates….I’m counting down the days…..but, when doing an EC and the pic requires the GPS in it….Hummm; maybe I need a mirror to show the GPS is TAKING the picture.
For those interested the Garmin Oregon 500 series will begin shipping the week of July 27, 2009.

If you still have the receipt it will be for that price. Without it then it would be for what they are selling for now.
Maybe I will go that route…the screen could be a little brighter…I guess 100% satisfaction guarantee means 100%. I think with the screen I’m only 90% satisfied. Also I have spent thousands at REI…
Sale closed.
However the Vista is up for grabs if anyone is interested….make me an offer.

I don’t know if you like to do this but you can return the unit to REI and they will exchange the 300 for the 550 plus what ever the cost difference is. They will do this with no questions asked. I did it when I changed over from the Colorado to the Oregon. I did not like the way the Colorado was fuctioning. At that time I had the Colorado for about eight months. I may do the same to upgrade to the 550 because of the camera, the screen is suppose to be better and the three axis compass is an upgrade from the 400t. Just a thought for you to consider.
I did consider this but they now sell the unit for $100 less than what I bought it for…do you think they will give me the full credit for which I paid? If so it will be just about an even trade…

This will be my first jump so it’s a tandem. It will most likely be my last as well. I’ve put off to many things in life, and this was one of them.
SkyKnights might still do static line jumps for first timers….I did it that way about 18 years ago….

Do you have a list of archive ECs in WI?
Here a few that I know off hand:
GCZM5Q
GC109NG
GC143BY
GC1023QI do know there are a few more as well.
It’s a blast. I did it before I got married and had kids….I no longer have permission to do it. If you haven’t already done so check out SkyKnights in East Troy.
bronze and silver are going away due to funding…
I would think adoption would be better than archiving them unless there is damage being done to the area…
