I gave up easily when my caches were taken….but at the same time that allowed for others to use the area to place new caches….which they soon did….but at the same time I do often think about my first cache…..I wish it was still in play.
still $2.38 in Oconomowoc…we are always on the high end.

We showed up around 7:00pm and had a blast. Well done and the kids loved it. They’re already talking about next year. Thanks for the heads up.
Not a problem…some years are better than others….last year there were many more chainsaws…..those really give me the willys. Greyhounder and my fam began the trek at about 6:30…
It really didn’t get busy until after 7pm…
OK, I will make sure we are there at 6…I have your cell number Bec so I will be able to find you…it will be very busy at the beginning of the evening…and for the rest of the evening for that matter.

That Fright Hike sounds cool! And I might be able to go on Saturday night. Anyone want to maybe come with me?
Bec
I’m thinkin I have too many variables with kids and kids friends to hook up at a certain time…..if you really want to go and can’t find someone DO GET BACK TO ME and I will put the hammer down and get a real time set up…right now I’m thinkin I will be there at 6pm….but again kids tend to mess plans up.

If you have time and desire afterwards, the Fright Hike is going on at Lapham Peak from 6-9 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night…
Thanks for the heads up Gary… I wasn’t even aware that an event like that took place at Lapham. Here is a link to a FAQ about the event:
Might be nice to do a little night hiking in addition to night caching and see if any ghosts (like the would-be geocacher or Elvis!) are out…
It’s a really good time…I have gone a few times.
😯 I will be going Sat night…. 😯

Back in the day I recall a few people hiding treasures (money / jewels) then selling books to folks so they could hunt the treasure. I always wanted to do that so when Geocaching came round…..
In any case how do we get one of these types of hides repeated in Wisconsin…DNR? Magazine? Newspaper? Even a nice bundle of money would be nice….
The BETHERE contests held by Magellan a few years ago were kinda like this…..

Found a new link on the site…
again STAYING ON TOPIC, there was snow here yesterday afternoon….winter is almost here.
(staying on topic) I did see a couple of flakes on Sunday, but only a couple…..I was hoping that I was mistaken and that was just white rain….
Hummm…I’ll see if I can’t find one….I thought I had one but was mistaken.

Bring on the snow. CC is done now it can get colder and snow a ton.
You should have come to the Southern Kettle this past weekend for the North Face Endurance Challange…1,000 runners on routes from 10k to 50 miles in the forest…in about 8 inches of mud. It rained all night long on Friday making the trails really sloppy. I can’t believe the DNR didn’t cancel the race.
…slept in the Southern Kettle yesterday.
