Hummmm perhaps you could hide those near Ocono????
Thx…I’m just hoping to complete the event in the time allowed…(and in the top 10 sure would be nice…but that goal is unrealistic). Being a Madison area noob I know my odds are not good for a fantastic time…but I will still give er what I got who knows. I’ll post a post race blog.
Wow that is so cool!
Found help……wish me luck (and a safe ride). 😈
I tried several times to say congrats but the spell checker kept messin with me…so better late than never right? Congrats on 800…..now on to 1,000.

What kind of race is this, it sounds like a road rally on bikes.
It is like that but with physical challanges at each stop…

plus it is only cheating if you get caught 😆
I play fair…what worries me is that if you are caught on an “off limits” street or get a moving violation you are disqualified. Gotta be extra careful.

Gary, is it OK to get phone a friend help during the race, or is it technically cheating? 🙂

http://www.willystreet.coop/cob_wallIt is OK….it is in fact part of the race…everyone rides with one hand on the handlebars and one on a cell phone from what I read…I was unprepared for this aspect of the race or I wouldn’t be in dire straits at the moment….I just want to race….don’t bug me with details.
Quote from the race organizer:
Some teams choose to have a person standing by who can use the internet to help them find the locations of the checkpoints. Local knowledge helps, but it’s not required. We write the clues so that anybody can find them online. You’ll receive the clue to the 2nd mystery checkpoint when you reach the 1st mystery checkpoint….and you’ll get the 3rd clue at the 2nd mystery checkpoint.
Thanks for the intel on mystery one!
I have a race in Madison on Sunday morning (9am) and early afternoon. I need someone who is familiar with the downtown area between the lakes and can possibly Google (or know) some information for me while I ride my bike….there are three mystery points in the city which I need to find to complete the race…I do not know Madison AT ALL…..
I need someone who can stand by for a call and look up (or know) the information then give me the coordinates for it…..the questions / hints are to be released while I’m on the route…

(if you can solve this for me I’d be grateful)Mystery Checkpoint Clue:
(This is the 1st of 3 clues to lead you to three different checkpoints)
Ahead of their time were the 3 little pigs….

If they were on Williamson they’d surely be proud…

You’ll find the checkpoint behind this food bazaar…

I have disabled the auto spelling check feature via SpellingCow.com until they resolve their problems. The cow appears to be sick and is choking on words it thinks are misspelled. So post away Gary…
THANKS!!!!!
I thought it was just on my end.Welcome to the boards.
You could always place one in its place…mud lake was a good cache but it was time to let it go.
But to be honest many caches are archived because the sites are incurring damage due to volunteer trails….one way to limit the impact on the area is to archive a listing.
…and go figure it was a cache placed by The Lil Otter. 8)
She has placed some really fantastic caches….thanks Lil Otter and thanks to the logger of this cache for posting a really great pic and log…while I’m guilty of short logs in general I REALLY appreciate the longer original posts issued by some folks.
Cheers.

I’m guilty of something like this. I had a cache that was off by 4209.7 feet. Fat fingers. Instead of 91* 19.xxx I had punched in 18.xxx 😯 😯 😕 😳 🙄 OPPPS!
I’m glad I didn’t get up at 5am leaving my family at camp to go look for that one too…….

Here’s one I looked for last week…. GC1F45B
The cache owner has found one cache and placed one….it now has three DNFs in a row and no finders.
Update. This has been found…and only 500 feet from where it is supposed to be located…in fact it now is 15 feet away from a brand new cache just placed and yet to be found….um reviewers I see an issue here…..

LOL. I got LYCOPERDONED!
I have nothing nice to say, so………I still can’t believe his/her talents were wasted when they could have put to good use on the “Off-Topic” thread. 😉
So what makes you think he/she isn’t a regular here…..get out the torches….and where is that dunk tank; let the interrogations begin.
It really was a silly stunt to pull but it did at the very least call attention to a growing need to us to police our caches a little better. However, with all the flooding this has not been a good year for cache maintenance issues.
