FTP for Monday A dusting of snow overnight won’t last too long with continued warm temps this week. Hard to imagine last year being buried in over 30 inches of snow and this year there is bare ground.

FTP for Wednesday. Guess we WGA members need to get out there to repopulate the caches across the state! A thought here – perhaps the drop is because cachers are putting out labs which would not be a part of the count. How many labs out there now? I put out 10 and two mystery bonus caches with them.

FTP for Cyber Monday the day for hackers and scammers to pry upon credit cards! I’ve had 2 in the past compromised at this time of year. How about you?

FTP for Sunday Streaking? LOL Clean up the yard, putting the deer stands away for the season. Now cleaning up the basement for a water meter replacement this week and possible future plumber to put in a back flow value with I’m sure my old 100 year old historic house does not have. Maybe even have to put in a sump pump. Will certainly combine other plumber projects if needed too.

FTP for Saturday. Good weather for some outside cleanup before the next snow flies.

FTP for Black Friday. I’m continuing to wake up around 5 am so am up to going on-line early before the daily chores need attention. Several of us gathered at 4 pm last night for an outdoor campfire and microwaved turkey dinner brought out to the yard. Social distancing and masking for all. Glad it was a mild 35 degrees for this new kind of Thanksgiving. Perhaps more like the original dinner years ago – outside! The group decided to go home when our toes were numb!

FTP Wed the 25th Finished up the hunt and now to continue the butchering. My bro shot a big spike buck. Likely a 2 1/2 year old so it had plenty of venison for the two of us. Getting out the meat grinder and vacuum packer today. Good weather this year as compared to the cold and blustery winds last year. Pleasant to sit in the stand for 4 days. Lots of wildlife out there to provide entertainment this year. First time seeing racoons out and about.

Welcoming Wednesday the 18th with a FTP Warmer weather coming but breezy. Anticipating continued good weather for the upcoming hunt for caches or deer! Wear the Blaze out there, eh? Spending time today sewing extra polar fleece to 2 pairs of mittens. It seems with small hands I can never find warm mittens, so I’m alterating what I have by hand sewing more material to their backs. Works well (I hope)

For sure, many seasons for hunting in Wisconsin, not just the gun deer season. However it seems far more accidents/incidents happen during the time of the gun deer season. I have moved from public to private hunting lands. Too many other hunters who have walked past me and one not so pleasant encounter. No cachers are hidden in the area either! Good move for those hunting attributes!

The site does seem slow again today. I was thinking paint would dry quicker? LOL I’m getting ready for the upcoming gun deer season. Cachers need to be cautious for the next 9 days starting this Saturday if you are out and about in the woods. Blaze colors out there are a must, as likely more hunters will be out. Ammunition is in short or -0- supply so the demand is over the top this year = more hunters! Hopefully careful hunters as well. Be safe!
