Good for You Mr. Greenthumb!
I have had more physical exercise picking 8 quarts of raspberries today. I think they are coming out of my ears now.

I discovered I missed a SW Wisconsin State Park — Belmont Mounds State Park.
Why? It is not listed on the State Map and it is not listed on the State Park/Forest Visitor’s Guide.
BUT it is listed on our WGA SP Series list.
Well, I unfortunately did not load the SP query or review it before I planned my trip, as I was using the State Map for this.

Update on some local Northern Wisconsin – Ashland and Bayfield Counties.
Hwy 2 from Hurley to Ashland is OPEN again. If anyone is coming from Hayward area to Ashland, there are at least two local routes to get there — Drummond to Delta to Ino to Ashland or some of the local roads around the area near Grand View.My hidden caches north of Hwy 2 are currently not available due to the area closure by the Forest Service:
Storms Damage Washburn Ranger District, Campers Injured, Area Closed
Release Date: Jul 21, 2016
WASHBURN, Wis. (July 21, 2016) – Thunderstorms in the early morning hours today caused significant damage to the Washburn Ranger District of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, trapping campers and causing injuries.
Birch Grove Campground was hit extremely hard and four campers received injuries. U.S. Forest Service personnel and local emergency responders have gained access to the campground and those injured have received medical attention.
The District sustained heavy tree damage and U.S. Forest Service personnel are working diligently with saw teams and heavy equipment to gain access to recreation areas to ensure the safety of the public. The Forest is also working closely with local towns, counties and partners to coordinate emergency response efforts.
The Forest has issued an area closure for the portion of the Washburn Ranger District north of Highway 2. National Forest roads, trails and developed recreation sites north of Highway 2 are closed until further notice. The area sustained heavy damage and there is a risk to public health and safety.
The network of Forest Service roads impacted by the July 11 Storm and flash flooding on the Great Divide and Washburn Ranger Districts may have received additional damages from the storm event early this morning. U.S. Forest Service personnel are reassessing these roads and the closure order will be updated with new information. The public is urged to use extreme caution if traveling in the impacted area as conditions continue to change. Many areas remain or have become inaccessible and are dangerous.

I was out with Hearty Soles to the SW corner of the state early this week and only have those located in Door and Kewaunee Counties left to go. Hopefully by the time the snow flies.

Over $2Million of road damage estimated in just Bayfield County! I posted road closures in the forum about Northern WI.
Traveling to Fond du Lac tomorrow via Hayward, but it appears the Namekagon River and other tributes are flooding some areas now. Sounds like a new cache series to me!I’d Rather Be Lost Geocaching, Than Found At Home!

Got Rain? Want some? Washburn has had over 2″ and it’s continuing raining hard to produce backed-up storm sewers flooding the in-town roadways.
