Maybe meeting Lord Cadigon today at the Northern Great Lakes Visit Center on his Northern 3-day tour.

Thanks for the heads-up on this.

I have the cache page ready to “push the button” on June 24-25 for a 90-day lead for the picnic. The cache page will include camping at the State Forest and local lodging link to Black River Falls Chamber of Commerce. There are 14 existing caches near (short drive) the campground/picnic shelter.

When discussing the options for the SW quadrant – Devil’s Lake was booked. The other “enclosed shelter” possibility was Black River State Forest. Going to a “new” place was also a consideration. Buckhorn was a close 2nd, but no enclosed shelter. After this year’s Spring Campout I really enjoyed the warmth and fireplace of the enclosed shelter!

So perhaps this picnic will have a greater focus on meet and greet with picnic-style geo activities instead of being able to grab a ton of caches. Maybe cachers can come early/stay late for driving around for their geo-fix???

I personally have not been around the State Forest, but intend to take a pre-visit to scope it out. If you’re coming up early/late give me a holler, as it seems I have a “nose to sniff out those caches???” Haha

How much rain did you get? Wow, what a down pour last night at 10:30 pm! It was a gusher.

It’s been good to get out digging in the gardens, but taking a break to grab a few caches today.

Finally the NNE Winds off Lake Superior have died down.   BUT FROST on the garage roof this morning.   Geez!  Where is Spring?

The Brillion area State Bike Trail would be a power run, but a bit of a drive for you.    NW of Oshkosh there should be plenty put out by EvilTwin.     These are the only power-type runs I know of.

I just placed on order today.   I had a request sitting in my cart and earlier paypal account had an issue and I couldn’t place it.  But today I did.     Try again Wandering Tracks.      The WGA Store button is the 2nd from the top left on the website.     I’ve been in communication with the other BOD members on this issue before I submitted my order today.     We’ll “watch it” and please post again if there are continuing issues.

Mine was so stuck too.   How stuck was it?    Lack Nothing offered to rescue it.  It’s back to speed and in France.     Wandering Tracks only put on a few miles and theirs is MIA.      Stuff happens.
