I’m very disappointed the campout will not be in May, especially since we have made reservations at Gov Dodge already. We will not be able to make it in June.
Just think, 10,000 uniquely written logs. Congrats!
Congrats on 4500! Love the picture!
Congrats on your 1900th! Awesome!
Thanks for the Congrats! From our first find to our 2000th, what a blast! Looking forward to the next 1K.

We completed one of his EC this summer when we were on vacation. Thought the name sounded familar.
I was wondering what happened to the page. I’m very sad to see it go. I was using it to keep track of my found counties.
How very sad to hear this news. My prayers go out to his family.
Well wishes & speedy recovery!

It has taught Jerry to notice his environment. And by that I mean the little things while do a search. Like in a park there is more than just a playground and sandbox. It also taught him the world consists of more than what he sees, as there is always another cache to be found.
I would agree about noticing the little things. It has taught my 5 year old and 2 year old to notice historical markers(even though neither can read yet).
Thanks OPS for sharing all of your memories with us and for putting together your bookmark list. It made me think of all the places we have been with our boys so far and the places we hope to take them to.

my son collects the golf balls from caches…
Funny… my son likes to collect those things also… ugh!
It really bugs me when….
– People try to squeeze onto an elevator before you and the rest of the occupants are able to get out.
– people behind you in line at the grocery store start unloading their grocery cart onto the moving belt before your cart is completely unloaded. What are they thinking? That you might pay for their stuff? Ugh…Thanks for posting such a great thread! I really enjoy spending time with my family while caching. It has taken us to new and interesting places that has left us with endless memories. I also like the fact that caching has given my oldest son a keen sense of his surroundings.

Every time I read this thread I start to itch and I haven’t been ou tin the woods in weeks.
Funny, I was feeling itchy also as I was reading through the replies. We have purchased some permethrin from REI and plan to use it on our clothes for the campout.
