Just to keep everyone informed. This topic is being discussed in the community education forum and one of the WGA members will be initiating contact with the county.
Winnebago County F.P. in Illinois. did this a couple of years ago. Changed the policy…cleared all caches out without notifying owners, although they notified GC.com after the fact. We never got our ammo cans/tupperware/micros back. The FP headquarters could not tell us what happened to our cache containers. To this day we have the 10.00 fee in place and the same policy. At least you have a heads up. Good Luck.
Be prepared to climb….other equipment besides a boat maybe needed.

You know you shouldn’t bid until the last few minutes right? Otherwise it just drives the price up.
LOL…yah do that all the time…I’m the one ya curse at when you lose out at the last minute..heh…heh..heh
And cheeezehead….tishman has his heart set on the CSX. I have a Colorado myself…but that new Magellan sure looks sweet ( I started out with the Magellan Meridian color~which I still have and occasionally use)!
The Meridian gets just as good if not better readings than my Colorado by the way.

If you are heading to Iowa….be sure to check out this earthcache….it was excellent! One of my favorites to date. In fact the whole park is quite beautiful.

> Maquoketa Caves EarthcacheThis is not a good idea. This is what I believe you call an urban myth. You chance the tick regurgitating it’s fluids into your blood stream, increasing chances of disease. Goes along the same line as a hot match head or nail polish to the tick. It may make the tick move…but it’s no guarantee that he wont share body fluids with you.
The best way is to remove the tick is without twisting or jerking. There are quite a few products out on the market or try cutting a V shape out of a sturdy plastic spoon. Then place spoon on skin with tick in the crux of the V. With one stroke while applying slight pressure move spoon along skin……going in direction of ticks body and remove tick. Clean immediately.
The soap thing is not a good idea.
You might want to rethink the bubbles……… they can leak and get the swag wet. Come winter you have to worry about those things freezing……again breakage and leakage. And do the lures have sharp hooks……sometimes little ones dig in before lookin in.
Otherwise the items listed sound pretty nice. It’s always so exciting to put out your first caches. Have fun.
Let’s not even get started on money used to pay for those drinks……
Makes ya think twice about a Where’s George.
Happy hearts day to you Pat. See ya on the trails!

Try GPSgames.org. You can get others to join you in Geopoker. Temporary hides….no cache maintainance. Play hide and find until you get a winning hand then….start another game. The more people you get to play…the more fun.
In the very beginning of the episode it showed the cacher burying something in the forest. Also, she had a trowel in her bag of “geocaching” tools. ????

Welcome to Illinois. I too am from Illinois. ….just south of the border and smack dab in the middle of the state. Hope you find caching here as rewarding as the southwest. Wisconsin has challenging and fun hides as well as Illinois. See you on the trails.
