Rhonda…you are the best! Congrats on all your work! The Commander offers a special thanks as well! Hope to see you in one of those parks soon!

Some people hide a cache and list it on several sites. (I personally think that stinks) There’s a guy in IL that does that. And not only are most of his hides “crap” (eg. 20ft off rd, guardrails, literally under trash, often in dangerous places and occasionally in known private areas (but he thinks it’s okay because he give parking from a location w/ no signs posted)…then he leaves the caches for a month or so before archiving them and placing another in the same area, a few yards away. He’s even stated “I’m closing this cache because all the locals have found it.” This particular guy has been caching since AUG 03, 1st hide: Aug 03, Last cache logged: Jan 05, Last hide: Jan 05, Total cache hides: 137 w/ only 38 active. How’s that for a bunch of sh#$!!!
While I do appreciate that people are out there placing caches (more often than not they are done well), it is kind of annoying to see people spending more time hiding than finding. Even better are the ones who think that because they hide a bunch of caches they’re better and/or smarter cachers than the rest of us. I say, “If you want to impress me, go find a few 4/4’s, then maybe your 1/1’s won’t seem so cool!”

OKAY PEOPLE…WHILE I APPRECIATE THAT MANY OF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT THE JEEPS, I’M REQUESTING THAT YOU PLEASE NOT FILL UP THIS PAGE WITH “STUFF!” LET’S KEEP IT CLEAR FOR THOSE LIKE THE CHEESEHEADS WHO ARE ACTUALLY POSTING ABOUT THE WHITE JEEPS! If this offends you…well…tough!

I am very upset that you are not senting any to the LaCrosse area. There are several caches and cachers in this area. So in the eyes of the WGA the Southwest corner does not rank high enough to be blessed with a jeep? You can put out 20 in the Milwaukee area and many more in eastern cites, but could not even spare one or two for this part of the state. Maybe there should be a new system for putting out the jeeps like a lottery so ALL cachers have a fair chance of getting one. I would love to hear comments from cachers in other forgotten areas.
Okay, so normally it’s not my style to reply to things like this, but I am making an exception here! (Wow, I typed that w/ a straight face)
If you look 3 posts North of yours you will see where Tie posted that LaCrosse is in fact one of the areas chosen. I’m paraphrasing but this is what I saw in the post from 6-13-2005 8:20 AM: “So, it looks like for LaCrosse, Madison or Eau Claire are going to be the closest.”As for the Milwaukee comment, have you looked at the profiles of those going in to pick up the bugs? There are those who will be driving as much as 2 hours to get there so…calm down! The state will be represented well. Some states don’t do what Tie does…some states just have a couple of people dropping the bugs off in caches and letting them spread on their own.
I for one would like to thank Brian for his efforts!

Hee! Hee! It’s still funny, Russ!
Steve, If you want a hint about this, email someone…it’s part of a cache that many are trying to do right now and shouldn’t be posted on a thread…that will give away WAAAAYYY too much about the cache.
(ps…I solved it…just didn’t go find it yet…hint, hint)quote:

I just type my whole posting, then before hitting [Submit] I TRY to remember to cut/paste it into MS-Word and let it yell at me. Just a suggestion, to make it more of a one step process.
Wouldn’t it be easier to start out on the Word page, type it up, spell-check, then cut and paste into the thread? That way you’re not having to move/make corrections twice….just a thought.

I remember reading that…I think Carrie was out of town when you discovered the link and you couldn’t wait to tell her about it…I think.
We also found one of the “have you seen this hat” cards in a State of Mind cache. We couldn’t believe it when we found it. Doug (D of ABCDM)[/B]
I’ve seen those too…on more than one occasion.

Okay, so I guess you’re smarter than me because all I get when I use a non-paid account (my daughter’s) is the following:

Okay, so I finally had some time to sit down and look at this one this morning. I did the first part yesterday…easy! It got a bit tougher after that. I had to ask what an …… … was. After getting that help, I found what I was looking for and moved on. Yippee…5 parts later I have the solution…or so I think. Now it’s just a matter of finding time to go sign the logbook!
Thanks to Brew for doing this…I had some fun. And thanks to wzbt03 for suggesting we give it a try.

There’s nothing wrong with caches placed for Premium Members. And no matter how many times one may “find” the cache, you can’t log it unless you’re a PM.
The thing about PMC’s is that you may be limited as to the number of cachers who actually log your cache. If this isn’t something you’re concerned with then go for it!
Side note: I think at least one person from every household should fork over the $30 bucks every year. Not just because it benefits them in the use of additional Groundspeak Services, but also because it helps keep Groundspeak up and running. It takes a lot of people to keep that site going so I feel like anyone using it should support it. But that’s just my opinion.
