Eek!!!

I’m gonna use this opportunity to say that when I search for a geocache, I *assume* permission has been sought and granted for the placement of physical caches. Am I wrong in that assumption?

So is this kind of *publicity* going to help or harm our sport? Do you suppose any cops become interested in the sport after being exposed to it in this way?

This is a fun thread! I’m wondering how I missed it the first time around!

Our team name stems from the fact that every year we go on a fishing trip to northern Minnesota. (Oh, do I LOVE that place!! I have a photo of it on my gc.com profile page.) We started geocaching very soon after we came back from that trip, so fishing was still fresh on our minds. We were going to use “fishcatchers”, but decided to play on the words a bit, so came up with “fishcachers”.
