Here are the steps
1) run cmconvert.exe
2) Click [Load File] and choose the .gpx file you wish to load
3) Click [Select All] to select all the files loaded into cmconvert (or manually select whatever files you would like to upload)
4) Click [Convert] to Convert files and prepare them for download to your PDA. The process for getting the files into Cachemate on your PDA is automatically performed after clicking Convert.Your files will now be synced to your PDA the next time you HotSync!
Hope this helps!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here I’ve been, cussin’ and swearin’ at this PDA I now have and making rude gestures to my computer, because I couldn’t figure out for the life of me how to get the darn query downloaded onto my PDA!!!!!! So I did a search on the message boards and here it is!!!! It’s exactly what I needed!!!
Do you know that this kind of information is nowhere to be found anywhere else on the internet?!?!?!?? If I ever meet you, I owe you breakfast or lunch or dinner…. You just made my day! Now I can go to bed and sleep well, knowing that if I can get out and cache at all tomorrow, I can take the cache *sheets* with me on my PDA now!!! Woo Hoo!!!
(Can you tell I’m pretty darn happy right now??? LOL!)

One of the things that I reflect on with much gratitude, and I’m sure many others too, is the e-mail I recieved from T&B after my FIRST find.
That was one of THE nicest things I have ever received by email as well. I was very surprised they noticed our *first find* log, and was very touched by the email.
I’m already committed to another community clean up event that same day. So I won’t be making it to the official CITO.

If you can’t wait for a clinic on paperless geocaching, or if you just want to get a head start, I recommend this page: http://www.geocacher-u.com/resources/paperless.html This is where I learned how to do it, including picking up a PalmIIIxe on eBay. Follow these instructions and you’ll soon be in paperless geocaching hog heaven.
Great link!!! That just might do it for me. I’m not the most techno savvy person, so a little visual instruction is just what I need!
I did some looking around online and bought a Palm lllxe on eBay yesterday for $36. I figured the slightly bigger 8mb memory would be best so I don’t feel like I have to replace it right away. I can’t wait to give it a try!

Way to go Madison Joe!
Do y’all think we need to get him set up in some sort of 12 step program? (You know you’re addicted to geocaching when….) Up 48hrs according to his logs?!?!?! You’re insane!!! Just kidding. Great job!
Count me in as a very willing student! Mondays and Tuesdays are usually good nights for me. And I’d take a weekend morning as well. (Much of my caching is during the day while the little guy is at school since I’m much more addicted than he is….)
Now I’m gonna go grab the GPSr owner’s manual and find out if I can get a cable to hook it up to the ‘puter so I don’t have to manually enter all my waypoints. Well, at least later I’ll read up on that. I think I might go caching this morning instead.
Yep, I think a nice game of Monopoly would take care of things nicely!!!
And I went back into my profile and found it’s been THREE WEEKS since I’ve cached! No wonder I’m going thru withdrawl!!!! Sheesh! I think I’ll have to go on a geo-binge this week!
We bought a Dell last year as well and are very happy with it. (Just thought I’d add my two cents.)
That does look like a great deal. Thanks for the info! I’ll be passing it on to a couple other folks I know.
Thanks for this info! I had no idea there was a spring hunting season, AND that there was no hunting on Mondays and Tuesdays! Interesting….
Have fun placing your cache!!! I look forward to seeing where you put it – and then going to find it!
Oh boy! I can’t wait!!!!
Usually if someone is saying “it looks like a tarantula”, it’s probably a wolf spider. So named because it actually hunts its prey instead of spinning a web and waiting.
For the most part, we are too far north for the brown recluse’s normal range. That’s not to say they don’t exist in Wisconsin at all, just that they are very rare here.
You did better than I would’ve. I don’t get along with great big bugs very well. I have the heebie jeebies just thinking about your big spider. A daddy longlegs, I’m ok. A big garden spider – fine! It stays outside! But those giant hairy spiders…. Ewwww!!!!!!!!! And Eeeeek!!!!!!

I’d be interested, even though I don’t have a PDA yet, but I’d like to see how each one works so I know which one to put on my birthday wish list.
