Russell – I saw a cacher from NJ looking at one of my puzzle caches. Just out of the blue, I sent them an e-mail. turns out to be the brother of a cacher from Appleton. The brother in NJ got the one in appleton started.
Small world ……

I checked out Fleet Farm in Appleton, but they had none. As usual. Sunday I was caching in Clintonville, and saw a FF there. Went in and found 3 – took them all. $12. Not a bad deal.
Now, where do I plant them?
The website requires some manual intervention for some things to show.
Congrats, to all three of you!
No easy way to count counties.
Here is a web site that helps you list and keep track of them: http://www.mob-rule.com/counties/
I have a MS Streets & Trip map of the US showing all my finds. Opening that I zoom in on the area I want to check, and then toggle back and forth between Streets & Trips and the county site.
Although I do not know many details, the Michigan group (MiGo?) has a listing of cachers who retreive lost or abandoned caches. Sounds like perhaps that fits the concept you are getting at.
I was wondering….did the officer check the bush to see if there actually was a body in there? Or did he take your word for it?
I’m working on a 5 cache.
Based on some correspondence with Brew, yes, the names listed can be added to or subtracted from the list.
Well, sneaking in without us knowing! Congratulations, and welcome to the Club.
Congratulations! Glad to see you are able to get out and cache.
Russell probably has problems with anything he touches, so his not being able to work CacheMate properly is not a good comparison. Sorry, Russell, but … I thionk you have been kidnapped by aliens!
Now, BQ, you are another matter … Printing? What are you printing – we are talking paperless here, aren’t we?
CacheMate’s biggest asset is separate files for each cache. All the programs have search functions, you just need know how to work them.
You can download CacheMate and test it for free. The free version limits you to 10 caches. It’s worth the test drive.
No help on the Plucker problem. Just some observations.
I initially started paperless using Plucker. I gave up in frustration when I realized how limited it was. I had found a cache, and deleted it, thinking to clear things up. Then discovered the Plucker has only one file, and everything was gone.
I also was a little put out trying to find a cache in Plucker.
I have since gone to using CacheMate. There are two major advantages that I see. It has a nice alpha listing of caches, which makes it a lot easier than Plucker to find the cache you want. And each cache is an individual file, that you can move around, delete, etc, without affecting the others.
I recommend CacheMate over Plucker.
