    4. 16 more will join the Wisconsin Millinium Club, bringing the total to 30.

Done, thanks to Timberline Echoes and The Tapps.

    Congratulations!

I’m sure the Beast is happy, since your making the Millenium Club means another of his predictions came true.

Once you are logged in, go to My Account page. On the top is Member Features. Click that, and it has a long list of odds and ends.

On my part, I would be happy having just PQs. Everything is a bonus.

Buy CacheMate ($8). It will alphabetize names.

Highly recommend you buy GSAK ($20) as it will change the GCXXXX into a ‘smart name’ which is much better dealing with.

Want a demo? Going Paperless is on Oct 2nd (shameless advertizing on my part, here).

    Welcome to Geo-Caching!

in reply to: Out West Atlas and Gazateer #1740805

I have AZ, NM and CO. Also NE.

How much time do you plan on being out West?

The reason I ask it that most people plan way too much, and spend all their time travelling between locations. You should figure 6-8 hours of travel time between places, since everthing is so spread out, and there are not a lot of roads to choose from.

The South Rim (of the Grand Canyon) has a lot of virtuals within easy access (i.e., along the tourist route, the West rim Drive, etc). Other virtuals require hiking into the canyon, some several days in length.

Since you will be close, south to Flagstaff and Sedona are recommended. Great places to visit, lots to see, great restaurants, etc. And lots of caches!

Day time temperatures can get into the 80/90 range yet, but overnight they will drop into the 40’s.

Need a local (Flagstaff / Grand Canyon) connection for hiking and or caching? I can provide some contacts.

    Enjoy your vacation!

    Welcome to a great addiction!

Tami, why don’t you learn how to download waypoints to your GPS before you try pictures in a thread?

    (Just a friendly suggestion.)

in reply to: UTM Coordinates? Why are they better? #1759787

    Two observations:

    1. Miscrosoft Streets & Trips has a location sensor, which uses UTM.

    2. Changing your GPSr to UTM does not affect your distance indicator, which will still tell you the feet to the cache.

I must have missed one of your predictions Ray:

    Tami ‘ditches’ out of geo-caching – ?

in reply to: Light Pole Hides!!! #1759761

Lots of new caches in the Appleton area, but still no light pole cache. Anyone out there listening?

    Congratulations!

Wow, competetion for the Bushwacking Queen, in finding so many caches in the first year! Going for 1,000?
