Try ‘Niffty Fifty” GC1187E. Apparently you can free dive to it, but …..
There is one in the Oconomoc area that is a 5/5. Scuba gear, and a diving team, are a requirement to do this cache. It involves diving into some dangerous area. do not rember the name, since I do not expect to ever do it.
I am thinking along the lines of what to consider before archiving a puzzle cache.
How do you tell when the action is over with, and the number of new finds is going to be really low.
And yes, I know the feeling, when having solved a puzzle, and it gets archived before I get to it. But they are usually a distance off, like down in Milwaukee or Racine, etc.
How long do you wait for someone from outside the area to come and find the puzzle they solved months ago? You usually only hear about them after you archive the cache.
I personally do not see a lot of outsiders logging local puzzles. It’s a matter of cachers not usually traveling far from home, and when they do it’s for numbers, not puzzles.
So, maybe not a hard and fast ‘guideline’, but some things to consider.

Well, maybe it does. I should specify the number of cachers who place caches.
MA had a million more population than WI, but a lot less space. Half the number of caches. ?? Where are all the skirt lifters?
And TN, the perennial oddball. Population a little over 6 million, but high on the number of caches. Lots of urban micros, especially in Nashville, I understand. Perhaps we should designate a WI city as “LPC City” and plant accordingly?
UT. Ranks 34th in population, but high on caches. I wonder if the LDS officially sanctions Caching as a hobby?
WI is doing okay for itself. Ranks 20th in population, but 13th in caches. Not too far behind NY, with 4 times the population.
GA, the largest land state East of the Mississippi, but low on the number of caches. Too many rednecks?

Thanks for posting the ordered list Gary… you must have had trouble sleeping last night. 🙂
I have lots of issues at the moment (yes more than I normally have)…. sleep and caching will not be among my activities for awhile.
That aside I’m up for work at 4am anyway….soon to be up at 3am because there is a roomer that they will be adding an on-site gym! 😛
Plus as I’m hugely anal-compulsive so getting an opportunity to put information in order made me really happy. 😉
Thanks for being the compulsive type.
Jeremy, could you order the states’ list by number in each state, top to bottom???????
Total Records: 8811 – Page: 1 of 441
Wisconsin total.
Download MY Finds into GSAK or the like, and filter there.
