I’m thinking if the WGA community can see – during the month – that there are 20 votes cast, or 26, or 32, or whatever, they might be more willing to cast a vote, for whatever cache they might know and like.
There are over 800 members. I would think we should be able to get at least 100 to vote!
The point again, is to show how FEW members actually vote!
Well, you are getting my point here!
Not too many WGA members vote for COTM.
If I nominate or see a cache I think is worth while, I sometimes e-mail all the finders of that cache. I usually get one or two cachers who ask ‘how to vote’. So I’m slowly spreading the word…….
One excellent improvement would be to double, no triple, my points, IF I ever enter anything!

I don’t think thats a good idea, as then someone would vote for the one with the least votes.. and that wouldn’t be fair
Life’s not fair……..
Why not vote for one likely to be voted in?
I see Zuma posted a number of reports from December 1969!
Talk about time warping! Or in his case, perhaps it’s time walking?
Two things to do when the cache police come knocking:
1. Politely remind that your stats belong to you, not them.
2. Refer them to me, and I’ll get them an ear full! Here’s is a nice tidbit I found on a profile page:
For the Geocaching “purists” and Geopolice:
My “found” count includes multiple attended logs on event pages for temporary caches at the event. If this offends your delicate sensibilities, feel free to deduct for those finds- or even ignore the event cache logs completely. Better yet, just skip looking at my stats altogether. They are my own stats, for my own enjoyment- not for you to look at and judge how I play the game or your opinion of my personal ethics. If you don’t like it, frankly I don’t care.
Disadvantage: Too many of the local lonely caches are mine.
Advantage: Dave has got the bug! He’s out checking my caches, and doing maintenance for me!
Thanks, Dave. Now, if you only can figure out which cache you are actually at…………..
I would like to see totals as the voting progresses….
I just remembered something from computer training in Arizona:
There are 4 websites:
whitehouse.com
whitehouse.org
whitehouse.gov
whitehouse.netOne is the real White House. Another is a fake site that spoofs the real one, including pictures of the White House being painted pink! That generated a lot of complaints.
A third is a porno site. Not sure what the other one might be.
The point here is that you need to want what you type.
powells.com
tom-in-china.comSorry, I can’t list the other sites since this one is family friendly. Correct?
Mike, you should know better than to ask foolish question on these forums ……. 😆
That’s funny – naming it the Colorado, and intending it for the marine market!!! Where do these guys live??
What, the famous Z complaining about a long hike to a cache!?????
Congrats!
How’s the Unit doing? Mine was acting funny yesterday.
