Matchstick containers have O rings, which usually get lost fairly earlier in the history of the cache, and then the moisture starts getting in.

Better than film cans, but not by much…….

Sheila navigates via a Garmin Street Pilot 2610. (This model is gone, but apparently you can buy refurished ones online). Higher numbers still in production. Great unit, with the entire US loaded (minus CA, OR and WA).

Sheila occassionally gets lost, but it’s usually due to new roads she does not know of.

BTW, it’s a ‘short hike’ to each of the puzzles from those coords.

    Boy, some people kids ……………….!

OK, here’s the coords N44.17.200 W 88.17.00. (Nice rounds numbers, hey!?)

It’s the corner of Main Street and Rosehill Road, and it’s a good place to park for all of my puzzles. (Well, not the Technicality one or Dead End 4000).

Now, anyone going to llok for any?

Do they have to be the correct cords for each cache, or could I mix them up?

One of the major reasons I can see for specifing the actual distance is for cachers with families (little kids) and person with physical limits. Knowing in advance would help in their deciding on if they should do the cache.

Mike, you talking about that plaid jacket you wear selling used cars?

in reply to: Google Earth #1880321

Solving one of my puzzles is near impossible without it for instance. 😉

I’ll keep that on mind, but from what I’ve seen (and heard) with GE, it’s not worth the hassle.

in reply to: Google Earth #1880317

Well, Deejay, it sounds no more complicated than the process I have been using with Streets & Trips and several PQs.

So, I’ve deleted GE, and am going back to the old way og doing it.

    Thanks.

You know Zuma, with two Teams already in the 20,000 range, living to see someone hit 50K is very possible for an old fart like you.

Scary! But true………..you have read it here!

in reply to: Who’s watching my cache? #1880288

I’m watching some 100+ caches, but I do not think any of them are yours. What should I say – nothing there!??? 😯 🙄 😉

in reply to: Really clueless question…Palms and GSAK #1880207

Don’t suppose I should ask which state?

Sheila will be navigating, so I think I’ll be there…….
