    That is awesome

    That is

Back in 2008, we finished the LCG in 5th place and received a nice Crazy Comic geocoin from the WGA and host seldom/seen. It went missing in Arizona in 2011 and we reported it Missing in 2013. We received notification today that it is on the move again! Only 8 years between hops! You never know…

That is a hard one. All we can do is educate. I think it comes with experience. I think gadget caches are really cool but I am sure I could never come up with one. I am semi mechanical but not good enough to invent. Take a newbie under your wing and lead by example and see what you get.

Between the snowstorm and the extreme cold kids may get a couple days of school this week. Pray for everyone’s safety.

You are correct with it being state wide you don’t know everyone. I get to events and look around and say I don’t recognize some cachers so I try to get over and say hi. In my area it isn’t saturate with many cachers so I am always wondering are they from my area. always hoping for new caches in my area. Thanks again for comments and questions again.

Personally no we can not segregate but we can teach. Everyone plays the game differently. Some cachers may not like what a newbe does but we can help educate new cachers with a simple email or im with some friendly pointers. We all were new cachers at some point. Thank you.

Personally I like the harder terrain caches. Going hiking, bushwacking and doing things you know could be a little on the crazy side. If I am with the family we have to keep it on the easier and safer side of things. They are all favs if you can get a smiley. Thank you for your question.

I want to be part of the BOD because who wouldn’t want to be? Lol I want to be part of a winning team. When I was part of the board for a short time it really helped with my social skills. I wasn’t good in crowds but the WGA family really helped. I really enjoyed the planning and getting to know others I would not have met. When one of your ideas get used it is the best feeling. When it comes down to why it is all them the fun, the ideas, the socializing and I have met some of my best friends because of the WGA and being part if the BOD that is why I would love the opportunity to be part of it again. Thank you.

in reply to: Candidate Question|WGA Mission #2061981

To me if it wasn’t for the greatest cachers we have now their would not be a WGA. But that also being said if it wasn’t for the founding fathers their wouldn’t be great cachers to make up the WGA. Its meaningful to me being on the BOD is not to rewrite history but just to improve on it and keep the train on the tracks that was laid out for us many years ago. I feel part of the WGA family at events and if I get voted in for BOD to be a great representative to keep our mission going forward. Thank you.

in reply to: Candidate Question|Time #2061977

Time is a huge factor. It does take time but with proper management it is very doable. There is 9 members if everyone does their tasks it wont take every waking moment. I am not currently involved with other groups. My family is supportive so they know I will need to take some time here and there to get my tasks done if I get voted in. When I was part of bod I thing my time well spend doing what needed to be done. Thank you for your question.

I’m not against new cachers. Sorry I did not explain my self as it sounded good in my head. With the rash of new cachers coming from groups that we teach 101’s too you have to take in account that caches will disappear sadly. It really sucks when a cacher loses a ammo can or another cool container. My last statement pretty much says that I’m willing to teach new cachers even if we have chance of the cache being muggled.  Million things running through head lol. When teaching new cachers I try to repeat numerous times that the container stays it is not the reward.

in reply to: Candidate Question | website #2061947

Trying to get interest into the website has always been an issue. Let’s face it who doesn’t go to facebook first? The website is awesome for the info of the WGA. To keep forums going is tough but we still need to try and keep using the website forums. If we get new cachers looking at forums that nobody uses they will be like doesn’t anybody use the website or is nobody active.

On facebook is always good to get the word out on current happenings events or if the WGA is looking for assistance for a 101 or if a newbie wants a partner. I would like to open it up do cachers can post on the fb page.

Either way social media is here for long haul but as us cachers need to help keep website active as possible it is so full of great history. Thank you

I like scavenger hunts, previously we used home depot craft kits to keep kids entertained. Maybe we could get some safe science experiments in the works. Sky is the limit. I have 3 kids and I know it is hard to keep them entertained and involved with things. I feel where the current bod is at and going into the future it will be exciting.
