LOL What a very good question. Well I hope it doesn’t get down to bribing a fellow BOD to have things go my way. I hope we all can get the job done as a team. That is what makes a successful operation like the WGA going a very good team working together as one whole unit. Also as a fun outlook of this post money or a trip is always a great bribe. I personally like money lol. Thank you

Thank you for the question. I personally don’t have one favorite cache but one of my favorite caching experience when I went down with some fellow cachers and we did the whitewater canyon area in Iowa. It involved pouring rain, mud crossing a river and climbing a very steep and wet cliff (mountain). I enjoy personally the higher harder difficulty caches but if we are caching with family we have to do the easier ones.

I have failed at a lot of things. I recently have failed at getting a job promotion at work. I have failed at fixing certain things. But one thing I haven’t failed at is learning from those failures. Everybody fails at some point in life and as long as you learn from mistakes and failures we will all move on to better things.

I will always give my opinion on the matter at hand. Sometimes I will have a good idea sometimes it won’t be a good idea. If a idea I had isn’t the one we go with it is because as a team we decided to go another direction. It will be fine because it will be chosen as a team. The next agenda may go my way. I will work as a team and we will get items taken care of as a team. Just because it did not get chosen does not mean it was a bad idea. It just means someone had a better idea for that certain topic. We are hear for one reason is to make the WGA awesome for it’s members. Thank you

What would I change? I would change the work week to 5 days of caching and 2 days or work….J/K. I don’t think there needs to be changes. If as a team decide there needs to be a change we will put our brain power together to come up with a change if there needs to be one. If I happen to win one of the 4 open positions I will be here to help keep the train going down this well made tracks that was made by previous BOD members. I will I look forward to giving some ideas help build on ideas already in place and of course to have fun. I look forward to setting good example for other members and help promote the WGA to help get more members and do my duties to the fullest. Thank you

What would I change about geocaching? Hmmmm… One thing I would change is a way to make a ignored cache or a cache that is out there from an inactive member easier or a better ability to adopt it. Of course you will have to give a ample amount of time for owner to respond but let others adopt it instead of letting it go to wayside. One other change or modification is the event caches having to be so far away from another event. Really does it matter that there are 3 events in the same town in the same day. Traditions will be broke with this new rule. Traditions need to be honored that is why they get called traditions. Also on a fun rule we all get a new geomobile on cache number 5000 or 10,000 lol.

01/22/2017 at 9:54 pm in reply to: Candidate Question: What kind of caches are your favorite? #2053321If you ask me on the personal level, adventures with higher rating caches like walking through rivers, hiking up steep hills, climbing to the top of a big old pine for an ammo can, getting wet and dirty for that simple 🙂 is what the challenge is all about. I enjoy meeting up with other cachers for the hunt and attending events. I have a notebook with solved puzzles, ready for the right day. I also like to place caches of all kinds. A cache that has a bug in it is worth drive totally out of the way just for the trackable. If you ask me on a family level, we scout out family friendly caches that take us to new places. History is always a plus! The Oddity caches are also ones we don’t like to miss. We are often found trekking in WSQ’s. Sometimes, a power trail is just what the numbers need. But at the end of the day a cache is a cache and a smile is a smile I like to find them all.

I considered my ability to be an active board member before accepting the nomination. I believe when you commit yourself to serving on a committee (such as BOD) it is of most importance to be very active. If I am fortunate enough to fill a position on the board, I will make it my obligation to serve and attend the various events throughout the year. I will attend the board meeting. I’ve volunteered to host the Lonely Cache Event during the Chili Feed, which I will be attending. We will be at Cache Bash. In the past, I have annually hosted an event for CITO weekend but would be willing to make adjustments as needed. Holding a position in furthering this hobby I have come to much enjoy seems like more of a pleasure then a task.
