WOW! Those are some of the best designed coins that I have seen. Please let us know when the release date is near or if we can pre-order. I definitely want those in my collection. Great job.

Congrats Zuma! Maybe you can add another country to your total because I believe EauClaire is it’s own governmental entity.. isn’t it? 😆 Anyway, congratulations from our entire team.

Ok Ok I guess I got a little defensive about our wonderful slice of heaven here in Central Wisconsin It wasn’t until the next morning.. today that I realized that the earlier messages were written 2 1/2 years ago! 😳 I suppose there really weren’t many caches here at that time.

There are quite a few caches in Central Wisconsin. Most are high quality including multi’s and puzzles.

I also think it is important to leave areas available for new geocachers so that they are allowed to find an area to place a cache of their own when that time comes. I don’t think it is a good idea to just litter the area with caches for the sake of placing caches. You will not find a lot of park-and-grabs or micros because we aren’t at the point where we need to do that just to place a cache.

As for “knocking out” all of the caches in Marshfield in one day… you CAN’T do it! The bandits have done a fantastic job of placing some quality caches in that area. They require some legwork as well as “mindwork” to complete. I CHALLENGE you to find all of the Marshfield caches in one day. You won’t be able to.

A lot of it comes down to what you want in a cache. Do you want a park-and-grab and lots of micros? You won’t find a lot that in Central Wisconsin. Perhaps a short hike to a cache like… Mountain Bay: “Where’s SpongeBob?” by Mathman, SirCumference,The Better Half, & Cutie Pi (GCY22E) or take a trip back in time with a canoe/kayak trip to The Eau Claire: Eau Claire River Series by One Paddle Short (GCV868). Please don’t dismiss the area of Central Wisconsin. We have a wide variety of caches with caches for people of all skill levels. I believe you will find it worth the trip. Have fun!

Zuma I think it is just you! Perhaps it’s the cold weather causing your logs to freeze up. 😆

in reply to: So where are all those Green Jeeps… #1765596

I believe next year’s color will be “fuscia!” I think a camo colored Jeep would be great. That way it can just be hidden on the ground.

Lostby7… Sorry that you are having a tough time locating a Green JEEP. WE have had plenty up here in Central Wisconsin. Most cachers in the area (myself included) will usually put them back into a local cache soon after possessing them. I think I have had about 16 different Green Jeeps and a fellow cacher has run into over 20 of them! There still are 3 or 4 within a 25 mile radius of Wausau in caches just waiting for someone like LOSTBY7 to claim them. 😉

Nope, I was trying to tell you something when I suggested you just tape some batteries to the bottom of your Boy Scout compass and try that for a couple of months…

    😯

Is that what you meant when you said I should go High-Tech? 💡

I’d love to purchase a coin for scouting! If you remind people that the coins are for scouting they shouldn’t mind paying a premium for the coin. After all it is a FUNDRAISER. I would purchase several.

I have found the accuracy to be amazing. I would buy another one, and would recommend one to my best friend.

Heyyyy! You cheated! The crocs go south for the winter and you can walk on the water. Glad to see people still out there doing it though. It’s a great cache.

CHEATED??? I prefer to say smart! Besides some say even in the summer I can walk on water! LOL

Geocaching is the same but the hides do vary across the state. It would be great if we could look at the numbers of geocachers across our state and where they are located.

I hear people say that the hides are different across the state. What is one of the biggest differences that you have noticed? Anyone who has done extensive or any amount of caching across the state is welcomed to answer (even you Marc 5digits!) Thanks.
