Green JEEP alert! I am not sure if the excitement over the Jeeps (Green) has fizzled as of late but I will post anyway. I placed a Green Jeep in a cache named… “Marsh to the Philippine Islands” by Lost Boys (GCGNRY) If you haven’t done this cache it is worth the trip.
Lj, since your visa is good for another 5 years can I borrow it to save me the hassle of obtaining one on my own? That would be a great help. I might try to go to Brazil over this coming weekend if I get the ok…
Would I travel to cache? You bet I would. I have traveled well over an hour or two just for a few caches. It may not be the most efficient but I enjoy caching in other areas. I would prefer permanent caches as opposed to temps because I do not log temps although I may do them just for the sport of it.
I would be especially excited about caches that took me to “good” fishing spots! I love to fish and kayak too. I have been to the Northwoods a lot but I know there are areas I haven’t seen.
I also enjoy the cameraderie of fellow cachers. It is always fun to get together with people who have that one thing in common… the caching bug!
Lj Survives!!! Lj, we are in awe of your completed task in completing the APE cache. We can’t wait to see your pictures and hear your stories of the cache find. We might even believe you this time. JK
Congratulations.

Of course I read this! Although I thought it was like a liar’s post! JK Good way to achieve your goal.
Timberline Echoes had a great comment. Is it possible to get a map indicating where geocache members reside within the state of Wisconsin? It would be interesting to see the visual representation on a map of cacher density.
I agree with Zuma, Rogheff, and Brian that this is probably unnecessary due to the outlay of resources. Again this sounds like a benefit just to the Milwaukee area. ????? Education of the sport is important but let resources be used to benefit ALL members.
Way to go KORPL. It was great meeting you at the Rib Mt. Rendezvous. I hope you can make it again this year. Congrats!
Marc, I don’t know if anyone lit a fire under them but rumor has it that they want to match your numbers by the end of 2007. My money is on the Bandits!
They have also put out some quality caches in the Marshfield area. Kudos for the hides Bandits.Green Jeeps are still there! Check The Spare Rib by RickBlick & Chick (GCY2QJ). Or has all of the hysteria surrounding Green Jeeps disappeared? Is everyone waiting for the new Jeeps in the spring?
To answer your question…YES I would cache with a stranger. I have cached with Rick of “Rick Blick and Chick” and trust me, there is no one stranger than Rick! There are several people that I didn’t know that I have cached with in our state and the day went well. If you are at all uneasy about it, bring another friend AND tell people where you are going. Good luck and cache on!
Congratulations!!! Keep on Caching Honeybunnies.
The Green Jeep I placed in 3 Red Herrings was picked up but the cacher left a different Green Jeep in its place. 3 Red Herrings (GCZ4XG)
Congratulations ET! I too had the pleasure of meeting ET at the FU’s get together. I also know that he was in our area with Timberline Echoes seeking some of our team caches as well as many of the other ones here in Central Wisconsin. Way to Go ET.
In response to Team Deejay… who wrote…”So the Winter coin would just be painted solid white? “
We would also have to had a bunch of holes to the coin to represent potholes!
