This link should work.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbpiWClfDVIWe like to log our DNF’s. Just because we didn’t find it does not mean it’s missing. It sure feels good when we go back and find them. Often we were just blind the first time we were there. 😆
MawI agree with you about the PnG’s in the West Bend area. The same cachers that are putting them down also have some good quality caches in place. Most of the PnG’s we just drive on by. IMHO if you have no intention of maintaining your caches, you should not be placing any more out. I think that they are just putting them out for the numbers. I am guilty of replacing one or two of their caches, but don’t plan on replacing any more. One thing you’ll never see Maw and Paw Kettle do is place a throw down cache in a guardrail. We spend a lot of time planning, placing and maintaining our caches.
MawI thought of you guys this weekend while caching. Found GC2B68P the biggest cache we ever found. Guess they really do hate nanos! 😆 Paw and I like ammo cans, but have been known to frequent micro P&G’s also. For us we just like to find ’em big small it don’t matter.
MawNice. For once it’s nice to hear something good about Geocaching instead of bad.
I upgraded last night, other than changing the look of the bottom screen I can’t tell the difference. Although I really haven’t played with it yet. Been caching all day and logging my finds. 🙄 Maw
Thanks.
My husband and I have like to hide caches that we would like to find. For us it’s about the quallty not quanity. Most of our hides are in the Kettle Moraine State Forest, and are short walk through the forest. It’s more important to us that we get nice logs instead of TFTH. We also like to bring people to little known and visited spots.
I like to craft, sew and knit so I spend all winter and during hot weather crafting, sewing and knitting. I figure if you took the time to find one of my caches you should be rewarded with good swag. We stopped at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago while caching and scored a large bag of McToys in the original packages for $5. The swag drawer at home is packed full!
Took a kmhiker class last night at learned first hand about the look on two little girls faces when they found the temporary cache after the adults gave up because they could not find it. 😀We also use Geosphere and our Garmin 60 Csx, in addition to GSAK. Gotta love the GSAK!
Dang it I just hide two new caches in the middle of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. Still waiting for them to be published. My question is how accurate are the smart phones? Do they get good reception under semi heavy tree cover?

I got mine from the Cornwell Tool guy. I’m sure you might be able to buy one from Napa or a parts store.

30 years in September.
I did a few times last year when we started caching. Generally we did between 3.5 and 5 miles a day during cooler weather. Less on hot and humid days.

I agree what they had to say about puzzle cache tours. The owners put a lot of time and thought into puzzle caches. Don’t think it’s fair to go giving away the answers to them. Some of my favorite puzzle caches have been very frustrating until I figured them out. Shoot their is a couple that I still can’t figure out, but I’m not gonna stop until I log the find.
