“trying to place one in every cemetery in a county”
One cemetery is just one chapter in the history of a particular area. To know the county, you need to ‘read’ the entire book.
Every cemetery has its own personality, due to it’s location, when it was established, who established it, if its still active, etc.
Don’t forget “The olde well”. 😆
There are indeed many story’s to be told. Recently, I took my brother and his wife to the Wolf River Cemetery to show them our Grandparents grave. We walked all around looking for other relatives and found 3 Elsie Vogt’s! 😯
After asking my Mom about our find, she said that she knew all of them and that 3 brothers married 3 Elsie’s! They were referred to as “John’s Elsie, or Ed’s Elsie for example”. Kind of a cute story I thought. One of the other Elsie’s even made the wedding cake for my grandmothers wedding!
These are the story’s that some day will be lost to time and left for others to ponder.

We’d be in for Star Trek…I know I could come up with some Jolene Blalock trivia…
Sweet! 😀 Although I’m not sure this would be pure Star Trek in my eyes. 😉
My one and only travel bug named Ozzy is retired and sitting on my computer monitor. He logged 14231.9mi. He sat on a mountain in Colorado for the winter, then went to Hawaii, saw the Grand Canyon, and even went to New York after 911 if I remember right.
I wish that I traveled as much! 😳
I have used my neighbors Garmin 12 ans found it yo be better under tree cover than my Garmin III. I’ll give ya twenty bucks for it. 😉

Was your log and the others involved deleted on the cache page? I searched a lot of cache logs and found nothing even close.
You could search forever and not find “the log” if you are looking for logs posted by me. I did not post a log that stated “God Bless America.” That was done by another cacher and notes were posted after that persons log. I just checked the cache page and the “found it” log and notes are still there. I e-mailed the first person who posted the intolerant note and then the owner of the cache jumped into the mix. The e-mails between myself and the poster of the first note were mostly civil, but the jump-in e-mail by the cache owner was not so friendly. In fact it was quite nasty.
Since I started this thread, the e-mails from the cache owner continued to spew hate and intolerance toward me and anyone who feels the need to protect Constitutional rights for all.
I know the cache owner is reading this thread and maybe he/she should reread my e-mails. I’ve not expressed my personal religious beliefs anywhere in the text and I’ve not attempted to force religion on anyone. My e-mails were intended to point out the intolerance and bigotry of the stance posed by the individual who felt the need to bash the patriotic American who included the National Motto in their “found it” log.
I didn’t want to stir any pot and would certainly never confront said individuals. If this tread is causing that much of a problem, then maybe it should be locked?
I have met many very nice people while participating in this game, and would not trade that for anything! Take care!

Been there, done that, and got the T-Shirt as the saying goes Donna. 😉
I enjoy my social trips to “power cache”, but the local day to day stuff has taken a huge hit in the last year or two since buying the Mountain retreat. 😆
I stand corrected kind of….it was without a doubt a Gray Fox! It was eating black sunflower seeds of all things.

I messed up and started too early on the 17th as I only got the last 2.0 version. I got home today from vacation and got the 3.0 version. 😳
I saw a fox in my back yard near Mountain twice this last week. Very dark gray on the hind quarters yet. Must still be a Winter coat? Got to watch it for close to 20 minutes total.
Congrats Seth and the better half! 😀

A GPS? Palm? PC? Electronic Turd?
It’s a low cost version of Sheila’s twin, not an Electronic Turd. (Can’t shake the visual). 😳

Neenah PD Car 54, You copy
we have a Black Mazda miata covertible drifting around corners in a residential area, appears to be driven by a fat assed middle aged man. please check, Ticket, and advise!!!
Yep, Knew there were v-8 conversions, as it is a ford chassis. just haven’t seen one up close yet. Did see a pontiac fiero with a 350 v8 at WIR. that was pretty cool.
The monster miata is not a Ford chassis, but a 302 wedged in a Miata. Not my cup of tea, but then again you were just trying to get my goat. 😉
That’s such a nice tribute to your Mom. Way to go Marc! 😀

Cool. Nice Looking Ride Mike!!!
Does it have a key in front to wind it up!!
I always liked the look of them cars, and they are so awesomely balanced, that you can throw them into a corner like theres no tommorrow. From what I remember, they have an awesome Skid Pad rating .96G if I remember right from my research long ago…
I was just giving ya a bunch of BS about the V8 manual conversion… that would make it too front heavy…. Got to admit, would be neat to see though!
They did make V8 conversions. Google “Monster Miata”. Of my 3 Miata’s, this one seems like the best for hammering the curves like it is on rails! 😯
