Wow, that’s cool! I have been within .1 or .2 miles from Wisconsin’s first, but the birthplace…..now that’s way too cool. Have fun Ralph! 😀
I was up there that day with my Miata. Needless to say that I headed home well before the storm hit. I hope to make some time Monday or Tuesday to cut some trees on Tar Dam Road.
I could not believe the devastation that happened in the path of the tornado! 😯 I have a house that was similar to the one the owners of the Halfway Bar had. It is unreal to see no house from the highway!
My place is roughly 7.5 miles from Halfway and the highway 64 damage. I was lucky to have 2 trees down and no power outage. I just can’t imagine the amount of clean up that will need to be done in all of that timber area.
My heart goes out to all involved! ❗
They need to pay for the bomb squads every time they call one in. Might just consider it a bomb squad tax and leave it at that.
I am surprised that they have been monitoring the cache contents all along and removing inappropriate items, but have blown up several caches. 🙄
The guy sounded genuine to me. However there is no way I would pay to place a cache……ever. 😉
I got to thinking about the physical layout of this section of Hwy 41, and I’m not sure that they would want anyone in this area cleaning it up. There are quite a few high drop offs and high congestion in the area.
What exactly would be expected of us on any section of road sponsored? Just a thought….a little on the late side, but a thought none the less. 😉
This sounds like an excellent segment…..and not in Brown County.

Also looking at short segments…
There are two very short segments available on 41 in Outagamie county…
US 41 between College and Wisconsin Ave.
We could adopt both the Northbound (listed at .55 miles) AND Southbound Lanes (listed at .36 miles). We’d get signs on both sides of the highway and kill two birds with one stone as long as we’re there.
Thoughts?

Veni, vidi, sivi!
Loosely translated: I came, I saw, I had Miata sign the log! 😈
I have to work all weekend. Hartmans is my favorite park! I swear that if I would have known a week ago……. 👿
Congrats Justin! 😀 On to 700! 😉
We were given permission by Joe to use stickers on the cache logs, in fact he sugested it!
I bet people were just putting stickers were they thought the log should have been and those might be the logs that “might” be deleted.
I am glad to be with you for the last find and almost 700 others! I just wish the last one was in a bigger boat! 😀 On to 5000 buddy!

Thanks to everyone who helped in my 4000th find. What a day! What a ride!
And thanks to all who have put out caches that I have hunted, and all those cachers who have been with me on the finds ……………….
Huh? It’s either the the rum, or I missed something here. 😕
You need to do this in July people! 🙄 A nice 6 mile hike for Marc…. 😀
